Here’s a link to Global Design Project so you can have a look at some of the work by the design team.

GDP100

And this week we get to choose a card we want to CASE from one of the designers…..

This is such an exciting week…now who am I going to CASE….

I think I will CASE…Jessica Williams

I love Jess’s work so this will be fun.

IMAG1006

I have Cased the simplicity of the layout, but I have used different colours and elements.

How to…….

I chose two of the new Stampin’ Up! In-Colours collection…Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. Love these two colours together, so vibrant and full of life.

These two colours have been used as a waterwash on Shimmery White Cardstock. Letting each colour dry a little before adding the next colour, letting them blend together but not so much that they become muddy.

When that has dried I added some splatter’s in both colours Then let this dry completely or hit with a heat gun.

I stamped one of the swirl images from Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird and emboss with Copper Embossing Powder.

The Mat for the card front is not the full length of card and allows a hint of colour to peak around the two sides.

Matallic Thread in Copper was wrapped around the card front and tied in a bow.

The mat was mounted onto a Soft Suede card base with dimensionals.

Leaf and flower elements were cut from Vellum from the Stampin’ Up! Flourish Thinlits and glue under the bow.

A very simple banner with Happy Birthday from Stampin’ Up! stamp set “That’s the Tag” (now discontinued) stamped in the Berry Burst and attached with dimensionals.

Hope you have enjoyed my take on Jessica’s card.

If you have any questions please contact me. Below I have added a link to all the products I have used, click on the image and it will take you to my store.
