Cockatoo Run

Today I am taking part in ‘Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop’. I will be joining in with some amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own. You will find the Links to the others participating below…..I hope you enjoy!

It has been a while since I have last taken part in this Blog Hop, so I’m really pleased I’ve managed to get everything together to play along with the others in this Blog Hop.

While going through my photos I came across these photos taken back in 2004 of my boys and two of their friends. We took the boys on a train trip on the Vintage Cockatoo Run going from Moss Vale to Robertson and back to Moss Vale.

For this double page layout I used the papers from the ‘Autumn to Remember’ Scrapbooking Workshop Kit by Stampin’ Up!®.

How I created my page…

Photo

  • I used 8 photos for this layout.
  • The top 6 photos across the top were trimmed down to 4 7/8 x 5 3/4 ( 9.8 x 14.6cm) to fit on the photo mat.
  • Bottom left photo 4 x 6″
  • Bottom right photo 4 x 4″

Layout

This is my general sketch used

Embellishments

  • Trees from the Peaceful Evergreen Dies were cut in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Train was cut from Basic Black cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo.
  • Title was cut using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, cutting in Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight Cardstock. Adhesive Sheets were added before die cutting. The letters were slightly overlapped to create a shadow effect.
  • Other sentiments were from the sticker sheet that came with the workshop kit.

Jouraling

I created a hidden journaling pocket on the second page, which is hidden behind the last photo. On top of the journaling I added a tab from the ‘Keeping Tabs Bundle and stamped ‘The Story’ from ‘Love this Moment Stamp Set. This then just slips behind the photo and you just pull up the tab to read.
