Welcome to Butterflys and Bows and to Video Friday..
Today I thought I would share with you another video by Stampin’ Up! about another new product from their Annual Catalogue.
Embossing Paste
This looks like so much fun and is definitely going to be on my next order. Here are some beautiful cards found in the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalogue using the Embossing Paste.
In the background of each of these Cards you can see the texture created by using the Embossing Paste.
So what do you need to get stared….they can all be found on page 201 of your Catalogue or click on the pictures below to go directly to my store.
OH!….Don’t forget you may also want some re-inkers to colour the paste!
On Tuesday I was having my usual Facebook fix when I came upon this great card by Maria Willis.
I love the vibrant colours that she has used, it just brought this big smile across my face. I had to find out more about how Maria had achieved this card, so followed the links to here Blog –
“Cardbomb”. Please go and check it out….this one is now on my “Favorite Blogs” list…..
or here is the link http://cardbomb.blogspot.com.au/2017/06/creating-kindness-blog-hop-new-catalog.html
This card was created as part of a Blog Hop for Creating Kindness (around the world) International Design Team.
Maria says “If I had to describe my stamping style in one word… I think I would choose, “Techniques.” I absolutely love to experiment with Stampin’ Up! products and I love to try new techniques.”
Maria’s blog sounds like one I’m going to be visiting on a regular bases.
So I had to give this a try……
As you can see it was a bit messy….and Maria does say at one point that if you don’t want to spray everything with ink cover it up….I should have listened to that part. LOL….
I have ink everywhere including ME!
But it was so much fun …I kept on going…I think I ended up with about 8 pieces…some good and some are just ready for the bin.
BUT…don’t be too quick to throw in the trash as once its dry and when you trim down ..you may end up with something pretty amazing.
The card stock used is the NEW Glossy White Cardstock 144241 and I cut the sheet into quarters.
To get the beautiful, bright and vibrant colours on the Glossy White Cardstock, Maria mixed rubbing alcohol with Stampin’ Up! Ink refills. This also gave some wonderful blending effects as well.
Maria goes through a couple of different techniques and I’m sure like me you can’t wait to get hold of some Rubbing Alcohol and have a go yourself..
Well here’s how my card turned out…
I think it looks good …don’t you?
So here’s the video…enjoy, can’t wait to see what you end up with.

Today I wanted to share with you another NEW product that Stampin’ Up! have released in the new Catalogue and that is their planner.
It comes in a Kit form so you can put it together in the configuration that works best for you.
As you can see there is a lot in the Kit
This planner really excited me when I first heard about it because not only is it beautiful, its easy to use and I knew I could get a lot of use from it. I love the month at a glance as I can see quickly what I have planned and then the week on a two page spread allows me to break it all down to tasks. All my tasks I have colour coded for example if its written in Purple then I know its a business task, if in red then a personal task. This allows me to see at a glace what I have planed for my day.
You could also use your planner to make notes about activities/holidays etc to use in your Memory Keeping Albums – Stampin’ Up! Memories and More.
All the pages are a good quality paper so you can even stamp on them and the planner comes with stickers to decorate your pages or highlight events. There are also Pocket pages to add photos, post it notes to add those extra notes on and 2 pocket sleeves to add shopping list or cards to be sent…..there is so much in this planner
I’m sure you will love it…..Here is a video to tell you more about this fantastic product.
If you are interested in ordering one of these Planners for yourself go to my Store HERE
Guess what you can also purchase a Refill Kit that has everything in it except the binder
Have FUN Planning your new Planner

Sorry this wasn’t done and posted on Friday….it has taken me a little while to get up the nerve and make this video. i have made a few now but I’m always concerned about getting it all right and this one I managed to do in one take….Woo Hooo!
This Video is on the card I post earlier in the week, so here is a reminder of what it looks like.
I hope you all had a wonderful and Blessed Easter.
And not too many Easter Eggs!
Here in Australia we also have school holidays at the moment and over Easter my boys and I (my husband had to stay home because of work), traveled to Mudgee to visit my parents. My father turned 80 last February and we hadn’t had a chance as yet to celebrate.
It was a lovely day, lunch at a beautiful Winery with family and friends to help celebrate.
The Video I want to share with you today is another by Stampin’ Up! highlighting one of their many Kits. This one is from the Occasions Catalogue on page 13..Its a fun little kit making up into 12 cards, 4 each of 3 designs and 12 Gift Tags.
Now this Kit does not include the stamp set required, Birthday Bright, nor the ink pads and adhesives.

This week I’m sharing with you a video by Andrea Walford – Butterfly Thanks
So who is Andrea Walford?
Andrea is a mixed media artist, writer, online educator, and Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. She is Christian, married to Todd and has 5 children.
Andrea for a number of years ran the Website “Paper Crafter’s Library” and I used to drool over her beautiful creations when I first started Card-making.
Andrea is a Independent Demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! and shares her creations on her Website and Blog….http://www.andreawalford.com/
As well as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.
I find Andrea’s cards fresh, bold and exciting.
What does she offer-
Great Tutorials Videos and PDF
On-line classes
E-Newsletter
and great expertise!
The Video I have for you today is…. Butterfly Thanks
I love the way Andrea does her videos, all the instructions are very clear and concise.
This card involved the technique of sponging and blending of the colours, using both Sponge Daubers and Stamping Sponges.
I like seeing the Stamp-a-ma-jig being used even when using the Photopolymer Stamps, as I find this tool still the best way to line everything up. Rather than leaving it to seeing through the stamp, because knowing me I would have problems lining up the stamp with the image causing a double image.
On the Blog not only is there the video but down loadable instructions.
Now, I just had to CASE this beautiful card myself….I love Butterflies and these colours are stunning.
I found this card a fun and easy card to do.
I didn’t have the Sentiment Stamp used on this card so I used one of the Sentiments from “Mixed Boarders”
Having a look through some videos by Stampin’ Up! and I have come across this one on “Marbling”
Have you ever tried this?
I haven’t …..so I thought why not have a go.
Now for this you need Shaving Foam NOT Shaving Gel….Thank you boys!
One of my sons had left a can so I didn’t have to wait until tomorrow and a visit to the shops.
So I chose 3 colour in the Re-Inkers..
Wild Wasabi
So Saffron
Wisteria Wonder
Sprayed some foam on to a container lid I had lying around dropped a few drops of each colour into the foam. I then ran a stick I had up, down and across ways per the video and laid the Thick Whisper White card stock on top. Press down lightly, then lift off. Scrape off excess foam and leave to dry.
I suggest letting it dry before rubbing off any left over foam as it may smudge when wiping.
Later I will make a card from one of these and post it here….why don’t you give it ago I would love to see what you come up with..
On Fridays I will be trialing a Video sharing event…This is where I will be sharing a video that I have seen of produced myself to share with you different techniques and ideas.
