Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop- March

Welcome to my Blog…. Today I am taking part in ‘Scrapbook Global Blog Hop’ for March.

I will be joining in with some amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own.

This Month we have the Lovely Courtenay Heuston – Creative Design Team Member who chose Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Blog Hop – Mar 20th, 2025 Colour Challenge theme.

Courtenay has chosen a FAVOURITE colour of hers- use Green Designer Series Paper on your layout.

Together

This photo is of my son, Robert and his beautiful girlfriend Georgia, it was taken on Christmas day in our back yard.

This challenge was a real challenge as I like green but working with it on a scrapbook page and finding the right photo to go with it was a little tougher. I’m really pleased with how this all turned out.

My Layout

I decided to use products from the ‘Lovely Garden Suite Collection‘ by Stampin’ Up!®. I like the Garden Green broken up with the small flowers in white and yellow. Also in the range of papers is this lovely little yellow and green flower on a white background. Lovely Garden Designer Series Papers also has some black and white papers which is great for adding another layer without taking away from the other papers.

I added some texture to the back ground by stamping some splatters using the Elements of Text Cling Stamp and Gray Granite Ink Pad, stamping of off before stamping to my page.

To embellish the page I used the dies from Delightful Wishes Bundle and the leaf dies from the Thankful Garden Dies (part of the Lovely Garden Suite). The leaves I die cut from the Garden Green Two Tone Cardstock using both sides The bird and butterflies I got from the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera pack. The Black and white bird on a branch ties in with the black and white DSP and the butterflies draws the eye upwards from the flowers.

Font

My font I created on my Silhouette Cameo using the Will & Grace Font from DaFont. These were cut from Basic White Cardstock and Garden Green Two Tone Cardstock using the lighter side.

My Inspiration

I did use a layout I saw on Pinterest as my Inspiration as I’m finding a my feet in scrapbooking again after being away from it for so many years.
