Take to the Sky

Today I am taking part in the Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop, I am using the ‘Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

This Designer Series Paper is part of the Take to the Sky Suite Collection, which also includes Adventurous Sky Bundle and Industrial Trinkets. As I have only got the DSP I am just working with it. Two sheets of the DSP is tags and other cut out panels which I have used to the elements of my layout.

How I created my page…

Layout

For this layout I worked a little backwards by creating the Right page first and then followed through to the Left page.

Right Page-

  • I started this page by working out how I could place all the photos and decided to make them into a strip going across the page.
  • Then added the 2 strips of DSP above and below the photos. Both of these strips were inked along the edges in Basic Gray.
  • I used the cut-a-part tags to created elements at the top right corner of my layout. Tag edges were also Inked in Basic Gray Ink and holes punched using the new 1/8″ Hole Punch from the Hole Punch Assortment. Bakers Twine in black added to tags.

Left Page

  • DSP was cut to match the right page, inked along the edges with Basic Gray Ink and added to the page
  • $ x 6 photo matted in Boho Blue
  • Tags and other cut-a-part elements Inked around the edges, some tags cut down, as not all the tag needed. Those left over pieces were then cut into tags and added to right hand page at the bottom of layout.
  • Title was cut from Basic Black cardstock with Adhesive Sheets adhered to the page above smaller photo.

As an after thought I decided to ink around the edges of the pages with Basic Gray Ink and added some stamping of planes from the Everyday Arches Stamps for added texture.

Journalling was added in strips printed onto Basic White Cardstock.
