About Me – Faith & Bible Verses -

Today’s page in my About Me album is a little different. Rather than photographs, I’m documenting something that has been an important part of my life over the years — my faith and the Bible verses that have meant so much to me.

Scrapbooking doesn’t have to be just about photographs. It can also be a wonderful way to preserve your favourite songs, poems, quotes, recipes, memories, or words that have special meaning to you.

For this page, I’m using one of the 4-pocket pages from the Variety Pack 6″ x 8″ Pocket Pages by Stampin’ Up! ®, with each pocket measuring approximately 3″ x 4″ (7.5 x 10 cm).

Creating the Bible Verse Cards

I created a Text Box in Word and sized it to the finished 3″ x 4″ pocket size. I then typed each of my chosen Bible verses into the boxes and printed them onto A4 Basic White Cardstock.

The text box initially creates a black outline around each section. Before printing, I changed the outline to white so it wouldn’t appear on the cardstock.

Before cutting the cardstock into the four individual cards, I decorated each section.

I started with a mask from my Stampin’ Up! stash, creating a soft background around the edges of each verse. I then added stamped images using the Tile Garden and Delicate Whispers stamp sets by Stampin’ Up!®.

Once I was happy with the stamping, I cut the cardstock into the four 3″ x 4″ pocket-sized pieces. I then inked around the edges and added a little more stamping wherever I felt an area needed filling.

I love how each card has its own little design while still working together as a page.

Most importantly, this page is a reminder that scrapbooking is about preserving the things that tell our story — not just the photographs.
