Mini Gift Bag

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

For something a little bit different I have made these cute Mini Gift Bags which can hold a couple of sweets or a small piece of jewellery. It uses a piece of 15.2 x 15.2cm (6 x 6″) Designer Series Paper along with cardstock for handles and tag.

I did make this a few years ago using the Stampin’ Up! ® Envelope Punch Board and have a video on my YouTube Chanel HERE. I have remade this video showing how to make the same bag but without the use of a Punch Board. All the Measurements are below for you to print off.

Dressed to Impress Gift Bag and Cards

Hi and welcome to my Blog.

Need a little gift bag, small enough to fit a nice piece of jewellery or a small bottle of perfume..

It was so easy to make and with most of the work done for you by Stampin’ Up! by using the dies in the Dressed to Impress Bundle which will cut and score ready to fold and glue together. The dies include the pocket, buckles and buttons to finish it off. I have also decorated mine by adding a piece of Best Dressed 15.2 x 15.2 (6 x 6″) Designer Series Paper to the front of the bag. To do this I just cut out another front for the bag from the DSP and trimmed of the side gust piece and glued to the from of my bag.

This would even make a great Party Bag filled with lollies or small toys for a little girl or change the handles to go over to the back just like a back pack for any little boy.

This little bag I filled with 7.6 x 7.6cm (3 x 3″) Best dressed Note cards & Envelopes. These cards have printed fronts, are blank inside & the envelopes are also printed on the front with liners inside to match. This Note cards were so easy to do with only a couple of products, The sentiment and image were stamped in Smoky Slate and then the image was highlighted with some Wink of Stella to give it a touch of Glam!

I just had to make one extra card with the Perfume bottle from the stamp set as the feature.

The three bottles where stamped on a extra piece of Whisper White cardstock in Momento Tuxedo Black, then coloud using one of the stamps and then a bit of ‘Glam’ with Wink of Stella. Die cut them out with the matching die a couple of dimenionals on the back and they are ready to attach to your card. Stamp the sentiment and add the ‘Splodge’ (for the want of a better word) over the top, then attach to the from of your card. Adhere the bottles and another card completed and ready for someone special.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects & that you’re inspired to get crafty!

Timeless Tulips Pencil Topper

Welcome to my blog post today, I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.

Friday night was my first class for 2020 and we had so much fun. The class was based around the Timeless Tulips Bundle from the 2020 Mini Catalogue.

Here are the projects the class made, we had so much fun….lots of laughing, as always.

Video below with what I used and How these tulips were made.

This card we used the sponge Brayer to create the  monochromatic background and then sprinkled some water on the card front to create the splatter look. The water pushes the colour away leaving the white. spots.

This card was CASED from the card we made at On Stage last year. On Stage is one of the benefits of being a Demonstrator, you get to play with some of the products before they are released.

I have added my FB Live video showing how the Pencil Toppers were made.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my Blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects & that you’re inspired to get crafty!

You make me smile, Friend…Part 2

Thank you for visiting my Blog today. Back in October I shared with you a card I made using the Pigment Sprinkles by Stampin’ Up! Not long after making the cards I went to my 40yr School Reunion and I took with me two little presents for my best friends. I very quickly took photo’s before packing them away in my bags.

Since then I have made a video also showing how I made these cards. So today I thought I would share these with you.

The gifts I gave my friends were these lovely Key Chains, each one matched the box perfectly.

Here is the video on how I made the cards. I hope you enjoy!

A fun little Christmas Self-Closing Treat Box

A fun little Christmas Self-Closing Treat Box

I love this little box, its so simple to make and looks amazing. Its made to fit a Ferrero Rocher but you could put Jewelry in it as well.

You could have a basket of them under the tree for the visitors that call in. Or on the table as a treat for your Christmas Dinner guests.

Or make them in pretty paper for Birthdays or Wedding favors….

I have made this box using the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper 146921 and decorated the box using the Christmas Traditions Punch Box 148030 to make the gorgeous tags.

I have a written Tutorial as well as a Video showing how to make these great little boxes.

There is an alteration in the written tutorial making the width of the Designer Series Paper a little wider to give longer tabs which are folded to form the base of the box for extra strength. If you are just going to put a Ferrero Rocher in the box then the measurements on the video are fine. If you were to put something a little heavier in the box then you will need to follow the Written Tutorial.

Thank you for taking the time to read my Blog…I hope you have fun making these cute little boxes like I did.

If you have any questions please contact me, all the products used will be below linked to my On-Line Store.

Petal Promenade by Stampin’ Up!

What is your favorite Designer Series Paper in the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue?

I have never been big on using a lot of the Designer Series Papers but this year Stampin’ Up! have brought out some beautiful papers. There are two that I really like Share What you Love Specialty designer Series Paper and Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.

This week I have been playing with the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper 146913, making Post-it Note Holders for a stall/display that is part of a Art Expo.

What do you think…CUTE!

The Petal Promenade paper is a photographic design paper, floral on one side and marble or textured design on the other. There are 6 designs in all and you get 2 of each design. Two of the papers have smaller elements that can be cut down for note cards or other projects. I have used the smaller elements which are 7.6cm (3″) square and stamped in the center using sentiments from Ribbon of Courage 143855 and Colorful Seasons 143726.

Thanks for reading my post this week…I will try and get a tutorial done soon on this project. I really recommend you to look at this paper it is stunning and more so in real life. You can purchase it through my store by clicking on the links above. Have a wonderful day…Keep on Stampin’

Christmas Packaging with Stampin Up!

Christmas what a beautiful time of the year…

I love Christmas…don’t you?

In the last class for the year I decided we would make great little Christmas gift boxes for those small but still important gifts.

We made 3 projects…no cards, but 3 easy to make “Gift Boxes” using Stampin’ Up! Tags and Trimmings Bundle 146062 and the Gift Bag Punch board 135862

The boxes where then decorated using the stamps and Thinlits from the Tags and Trimmings Bundle and Designer Series Papers from Merry Little Christmas DSP 144621 & Merry Music Specialty DSP 144623.

How to Make….

Christmas Stocking

Stocking and pillow box back was cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock, a 1/8 hole was punched in the back of Pillow box to attach a folded and knotted length of Quilted Christmas Ribbon 144620 to be used as a hanger. It is a lot easier putting the ribbon in now than after stocking is completed.

Fold and burnish the side tabs on back panel, also the bottom tab and gently shape the top of stocking. Add Tear and tape to side tabs on back panel as well as bottom tab.

Remove Tear and Tape backing, carefully match the corners at top and adhere down, doing one side at a time.

Burnish, fold over and adhere other side (Sorry forgot the ribbon in these pictures)

Remove backing of tab and gentle fold into box and burnish with bone folder to inside of stocking.

To decorate we using the Snow flake paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP for the cuff, heal and toe of stocking attached with Multi Purpose Glue. I also adhered the gold pom pom trim to back of cuff before attaching to stocking front.

Bell and Pom Pom Trim was cut from Gold Foil Paper. Two leaves and the large button was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock and cut using the Thinlits. These then where layered using glue dots …large leaf coming from behind the bell with the smaller leaf on opposite side and at the front. Large button on top with a small bow in Red/white Twisted bakers Twine (Discontinued)

Pillow Box

Cut two back panels from Crumb Cake cardstock and remove the log tab from each panel and side tabs only from one panel.

Fold in the scoring lines and Tear and Tape and this time when you join the panels together you need to top and tail them

You can see here the notched one is at the top the other at the bottom. Join other side and gently fold in the tops and bottoms of box.

With the pillow box to decorate I cut a strip of Merry Music Specialty DSP 6 x 15cm. Tear along both edges removing approx .5cm from each side. This is then wrapped around the box and adhered with snail. Wrap the Jute Twine 144625 around the box twice and tie off in a knot. Using the tag from the stamp set I added two leaves and a small button and tied onto the Twine with Red/white bakers twine.

Gift Bag

With a 15 cm x 30cm piece of DSP from the Merry Little Christmas DSP 144621 Score down one long side 2.5cm and fold this is the top of the bag.

Follow the instructions on the Gift Bag Punch board 135862 to make the large gift bag. Fold and adhere bag together.

The Gift Box, I wanted to be more of a Santa Sack so instead of making handles I just threaded the Jute Twine 144625 through the holes and knotted at the front, the bow and tags where then attached at the knot.

The Whisper White tag is only approx 3 cm in width, because the bag is so small it didn’t need a wide tag. I just folded a bow shape and added the Gold sequence at the back and wrapped White bakers twine around the center where the knot would be. I used a glue dot to hold in place on the tag and then using the tails to tie to the jute knot on the bag.Finish off by adding another two leaves and button with the Glue dots.

Hope you have enjoyed my projects we did last night, it was a great way to finish off the year.

Here we all are WISHING each other a MERRY CHRISTMAS
