Welcome to Creativity Abounds Blog Hop, our theme this month is ‘Cards for Men’. Cards for those men in our lives. our Fathers, husbands, brothers or sons. I hope all our ideas inspire you to create a special card

For my card this month I am using the ‘He’s the Man Suite Collection’ from the 2022-23 Annual Catalogue. This suite contains He’s all That Cling Stamps, All That Dies…..remember you can purchase these as a He’s all That Bundle and get 10% Discount. There is also He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper, that has 12 sheets in it – 2 each 5 double-side designs and 2 sheets die-cut sheets. Plus Rustic Metallic Adhesive backed Dots.

He’s the Man- Every Day with you……

He’s the Man, an adventures man…..Using the ‘He’s all That Bundle’ by Stampin’ Up!® I created this almost Nautical card.

This card has ended becoming such an elegant card and I love it…I hope you do too. It is a simple card and with not many elements to it.

I have used one of the new In-Colors Starry Sky with Sahara Sand and Basic White with a bit of Gold

Using Blending Brushes I ink all around the card front taking it from dark at the edges to lighter in the middle. Starry Sky on starry sky is stunning, it gave so much depth, I then stamped the compass image on top of the so it looks like a watermark.

The stamped and die-cut sentiment sits on top of White bakers twine, which was wrapped around the card front.

Leaves were punched out using the using the Bough Punch in Sahara Sand, Gold and White. The Sahara Sand leaves were brushed with the blending brushes using the ink that was left on the brush from doing the card front.

Happiness Abounds

Today we rolled the dice….Brights, Standard card, Masking, Pearls, Sentiment- For You.

Using the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Bundle I created this water colour group of roses. The grouping was created by masking off one flower when stamping the next. In the video below I show how this is done starting with the rose in the foreground and working to the background.

The colours from the Brights collection are Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Mango Melody.

The sentiment was from the Color and Contour Stamps was stamped in Versa Mark onto Basic Black Card Stock and heat embossed with white Embossing Powder.

Mat Poppy Parade: 10 x 14.4cm

In Color 2022-24 Creativity Abounds Blog Hop May

Welcome to Creativity Abounds Blog Hop, our theme this month is ‘In Color’.

Hues of Happiness

The Hues of Happiness Suite is one of the NEW products coming in the Stampin’ Up! ® Annual Catalogue to be released on the 3rd May.

The suite is made up of Happiness Abounds Stamps, a line drawn rose image that can be stamped and coloured using either Blends,Watercolour Pencils or Inks. There are 8 image stamps and 7 sentiments in a beautiful script font.

The Happiness Abounds Bundle includes the dies, there are 8 dies that match all of the images i the stamps. Then 3 extra dies, one that cuts and embosses a background image and 2 others that cut 2 different edges to look like pages from a spiral bound book.

The colours in the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper are stunning, they are bright and vibrant. One side side of the paper has gorgeous rose images and some these can be cut out with the Dies as I have done for my cards. The other side of the papers are just as beautiful. A couple of the pages have small floral prints others are a dry brush look of colour. Both sides of the papers are variegated in colour which gives you a of colours to choose from…It’s hard to explain you just have to see for your self.

To finish the suite off it also comes with beautiful Glossy Dots Assortment, 4 colours of yumminess.

Square Card Base- Basic White 13 x 26cm, scored at 13cm
Square Card Front- Basic White 12.5 x 12.5cm, embossed using Time Worn Type 3D Embossing Folder
Circle Frames- Basic White 10 x 10cm, I used circle No. 1 & 2 circle dies from the Layering Circle Dies to create a frame. **See image below

Std Card Base- Basic White 10.5 x 29.9cm, scored at 14.9cm
Std Card Front- Basic White 10 x 14.4cm ( this card I did not emboss the card base)
Circle Frames- Basic White 10 x 10cm, I used circle No. 2 & 3 circle dies from the Layering Circle Dies to create a frame.

Flowering Tulips

My card today uses the Flowering Tulips Bundle along with the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. and Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon. This can be found in the 2022 Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!®.

The Flowering Tulips Stamps are a two step stamp and the colours I used for the tulips here are Highland Heather, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody. I stamped the finer detail stamp using full strength ink and used the 2nd stamp with ink that I had stamped off before stamping on my project- 2 step second Generation stamping.

The dies that are included in this bundle allows you to die cut 3 dimension tulip flowers, though I did not use them here. I did use the leaf dies to cut out the leaves I had stamped. There is also another die that cuts out groups of little squares. I have used these to add texture to the panel under my tulips also to the card insert. It also allows for the lovely DSP to show through. Before die cutting the squares I did stamp the stems and a few leaves in Old Olive and Evening Evergreen ink.

Other Dies used in the card is the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut the panel on the front and the sentiment was die cut using the Layering Circles.

This was a fun bundle to use and has a great variety for sentiments in different formats to suite all needs.

Tutorial Bundle for Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, we decided we wanted to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely, and help is needed now. Therefore, the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.
