The flowers were coloured using Stampin’ Up! Blends Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Mint Macron, Just Jade, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Bally Blue, Smoky Slate and Basic Black. The flower spray was then die cut and layered on top of the Vellum leaf. The Vellum Leaf was die cut from a die from the Meadow Dies.

This was my first play with Stampin’ Up! ® stamp set Stellar Birthday..it’s been sitting in my shelves for almost 11 months. The Designer Series Paper is from the Abstract Beauty and as soon as I saw this particular design I wanted to use it with the Stella Birthday stamps.
The Fun Fold is a Pillar Pop-Up Window card which I saw last night demonstrated by Rachel from Stamp your Art Out. On her page she has all the measurement if you use Letter size/ Imperial Measurements. Along with links to her video on YouTube.
I have made my card using measurements in A4 Cardstock/ Metric. Below is the measurements I have used and a video showing how I made my card…LOL. Along with my errors in measurements for the stand at the back.

Abstract Beauty…..this is what I call a challenging bundle. In my Live this week I created 2 very different cards using the Abstract Beauty Bundle by Stampin’ Up! ®. It is found in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalogue.
Hello Beautiful Bundle
The bundle is made up of Hello Beautiful Stamps and Beautiful Shapes Dies. I love the dies and yes that is what made me purchase it. I think the hexagon dies are great. I like the sentiments in this but I’m not sure how I will use the other shapes…time will tell as I play more.
Designer Series Paper- Abstract Beauty
DSP is smaller than the other DSP rangers that Stampin’ Up! carry. They are 10.2 x 15.2cm (4 x 6″), You just need to trim the length to 14.4cm for the AU standard card length of 14.9cm. Really great for quick Cards if you need to make one in a hurry. The designs on these papers, range from florals to others that are more abstract some with gold accents.
Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes
These cards and envelopes are a perfect size for the DSP, card front measuring 10.2 x 15.2cm ( 4 x 6″)…so the DSP will cover the front of the card. Each card has a different front being either a wash of colour in the center or an all over ombra effect.
Ephemera Pack
The ephemera pack is made of of 30 designs and there are 2 of each one.
I made two cards, Card 1. using the DSP along with Night of Navy card base and just Jade mat & Card 2. Cards and Envelopes with the Ephemera Pack.

Today I have another card for you using New Horizons Suite Collection from Jan-Jun Stampin’ Up! ® Mini. Made using a Fun Fold Card, Up-Right Z-Fold Card .
Have you added the New Horizons Suite to your ‘MUST HAVE LIST’. It is a suite that when I first saw it I fell in love with it, then there was ‘How do I use it?’ Now it’s….. what else can I do? There is so much you can do with it. One side of the DSP you have the scenes already created and you can just add a bit of stamping. Then on the reverse side of the DSP you have beautiful colour washers that you can cut with the dies to create your own scenes or DSP, this will be my next challenge to try out.
This card I am calling a Up-Right Z-Fold Card. The base of the card is a Z fold, then there is a piece that comes over the front forming the Card Front. Underneath I have added a Brace so the front of the Z-fold does not move forward. The brace has a fold in the middle so it can fold up and fit into out standard envelope. On the front of the Z-fold I have added a fence line and grass, this is so the card front can just slip in behind to hold in place.
** See the Diagram below
Measurements & Basic Instructions used-
Z-Fold Basic White: 10.5 x 29.9cm, scored at 14.9 & 22.4.
I found this easiest to score the 14.9cm and then just fold one side in half to form the Z-fold
Card Front Misty Moonlight: 8.5 x 29.9cm, scored at 14.9cm
Adhere back portion of the card to the inside of the Basic White Z-Fold
Brace Basic White: 10.5 x 2cm, score at 1.5, 5.3 & 9cm
Fold each of the score lines to form a W shape
Place adhesive on each of the 1.5cm tabs and adhere to the underneath of Z fold. (see diagram below) This stops the front of Z-fold moving to far forward.
New Horizons DSP: 8.1 x 14.5cm
Stamp trees using Evening Evergreen Ink
Stamp grass using Soft Succulent Ink
Card Insert Basic White: 8.1 x 14.5cm
Using the Soft Succulent Ink stamp grass along the bottom edge using 1st and 2nd Gen stamping
Adhere to the inside of the Card front piece
Sign Crumb Cake: 10 x 14.5.
Sign Post-Stamp the Timber stamp one under the other, using Crumb Cake Ink and fussy cut length for post approx 10cm.
Sign stamp and die cut, cut the sign in half following the plank lines.
Sponge around all the edges with Crumb Cake Ink.
Stamp sentiment on the top one. Layer the signs either side of the post.
Fence Basic White: 7 x 10.5cm.
Stamp Timber stamp using Crumb Cake twice side by side, so the fence die fits across.
Die cut fence.
Sponge fence with Crumb Cake Ink
Place dimensional strip ( I used the left over strips along the edges for this) along bottom edge and attach to the front of the Z-fold.
Grass Soft Succulent: Scrap approx 4 x 8cm
glue across the front of the fence to hind your dimensional strip
Add some Peddles Enamel Shapes

This was such a fun card to make, using the New Horizons Suite from the 2022 Jan- Jun Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up! ®. One of these cards will be sent to my father for his birthday later this month. It’s not often I do cards that can be used for men, most of my cards are very feminine.
The New Horizons Designer Series Paper is spectacular, each piece lends to great water colour back ground and with just a couple of added elements make a great card.
On my Facebook Live this week I showed how to create this card. What I really love about these cards is the layout and elements used are exactly the same but by using different Designer Series Paper it changes the feeling completely. One is full of warmth and could be some where late in the afternoon of a summers day. The other is more of a winters day feeling with the misty colours.
Measurements Used…
Card Base Basic White Thick: 10.5 29.9cm, scored 14.9cm
Card Mat Basic White: 10 x 14.4cm
New Horizons DSP: 5.4 x 10.5cm
Mat Blackberry: 5.7 x 10.8m

This suite is made for layering of stamped images, die cuts and Designer Series Papers. You can see this in the designs used in the Designer series Paper in how the have used layers of leaves and colour.

What a cute stamp set with a coordinating punch – Hello Ladybug by Stampin’ Up! ®, found in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalogue.
I always love a bit of ‘Black and White’ and for this card I have used the Black and White Gingham Check from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue. This is a Host Reward which you could earn with a $310 Order before postage.
This is a simple card, the hardest part to it is the fussy cutting and it’s a simple leaf to cut…So I know you can handle it!
Tips
Instead of stamping the Lady bugs body I cut from Basic Black using the punch. I wasn’t happy with the ink coverage I was getting.
Stamp the dots on the wings first, then stamp the Red part of the wings. Makes it so much easier to line up.
If using more than one stamp in the sentiment see if you can line up on one block. Sometimes you can’t do this but sometimes so easy when you can.
Measurements Used…
Card Base Garden Green: 10.5 x 29.9cm, score at 14.9cm
Card Front Basic White: 9.7 x 14.1cm
Card Front Mat Real Red: 10 x 14.4cm
Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Black & White Gingham: 4 x 14.1cm
Card Insert Basic White: 9.7 x 14.1cm
Card insert Mat Real Red: 10 x 14.4cm
Scrap Basic Black to Punch out Ladybug body
Scrap Basic White to stamp wings and large leaf

Do you like the look of water colours and haven’t given it a try…..Over the last few days I have been enjoying playing around with some water colouring and I thought I would share with you on some of the things I have learnt. The image I am using is from the In the Moment Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!®.
On my Facebook Live I show how I coloured one of the images from this set and how simple it can be. Below you will find the video and some tips, I hope you will find helpful.
Measurements Used…
Card Base Misty Moonlight: 10.5 x 29.9cm, scored at 14.9cm
Card Mat Pattern Party Designer Series Paper: 10 x 14.4cm
Front Strip Melon Mambo: 5 x 10cm
Water colour Panel Shimmery White: 10.5 x 14.9cm
Card Insert Shimmery White: 10.5 x 14.9cm
Tips
Use the right product for the project – Water colouring you need a paper that will with stand the water. Stampin’ Up! have two cardstocks for this Shimmery White and Fluid 100 water Colour Paper. It is also important to use the correct ink to stamp your image and that is Stazon Ink.
I have used lots of colours, you don’t need to. Start by using only 2 or 3 colours. By starting with a light colour you can build up the depth of colour by adding layers. Just let each layer dry dry a little before adding more.
I like to work on the side of my brush and use the tip for detail. When doing calligraphy you learn to push down on the nib to give broader strokes and lift to get finer strokes. It’s the same here..I work on the side of my brush and gently pushing down will give me that broader brush stroke, remember to keep it very gentle.
There are 3 brushes in the Water Painters…I like to use the finer one…work out which one works best for the job your doing.
Leave some white space, you don’t need to cover the complete image. If my brush has missed a spot then I leave it, white space is good.
Have a piece of paper towel handy – to clean your brush but to also blot out areas where you may have to much water or to remove colour
Here’s an Important Tip…..
LET IT DRY BEFORE MOVING ON …Allow your work to dry before adding another layer of colour…this has been my biggest hurdle as I like to get things done quickly. Slow down and allow your work to dry. Use a heat gun but be aware that it can warp your cardstock.
Try not to work on two areas next to each other. Ink will flow where there is water, so two wet areas next to each other colour from one will flow into the other. Example jeans and dog – if both areas are wet the blue can bleed into the brown of the dog.
Don’t worry if your work goes out side the lines a little. Water colour is about the flow of the colour and the softness
PRACTICE….practice. Play with it, have fun with it…You will find your own flow.
