Delicate Whispers Card Idea with Phrases & Frames Bundle | Stampin’ Up!

Have you had a chance to play with the Delicate Whispers Suite yet? This is my very first play with it, and I’ve paired it with a brand new product from the upcoming May–August Catalogue. Can you spot that beautiful frame peeking out from behind the flowers and foliage? It’s from the Phrases & Frames Bundle, and it adds such a lovely layered detail to the design.

If you look closely, you’ll also notice the added dimension on the frame. That extra detail comes from the new Impressions Plates that Stampin’ Up!® is releasing in the new Catalogue. When used with coordinating die-cut images, this plate creates a gorgeous texture and really elevates your projects.

How I created this card

When creating this card, I focused on building up lots of soft, delicate layers to complement the beautiful detail in the Delicate Whispers Suite.

The floral sprays were stamped in Gray Granite to keep the look light and subtle, allowing the finer details of the images to shine. I then added die-cut leaves—some softly brushed with Soft Seafoam Ink, others cut in Pecan Pie, and a few left crisp white for contrast.

To help the frame stand out, I added just a hint of Petal Pink, giving it a gentle lift from the card front without overpowering the design.

The flowers and foliage were coloured using Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Soft Seafoam, and Lost Lagoon, creating a soft, cohesive colour palette.

To finish the card, I added a simple sentiment stamped in Gray Granite along with a couple of pearls in the flower centres for a touch of elegance. Everything was layered onto a matted card front embossed with a (now retired) 3D embossing folder, adding subtle texture to complete the design.

I love how these soft layers and gentle colours come together to create such an elegant card. It’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes keeping things light and subtle can have the biggest impact.
