This week the challenge is “MASKING”
The word “Masking ” means to cover with a mask or to conceal.
On my card I have stamped an image on the card and then covered it and stamped again so that I have an overlapping image.
Let me explain this in steps.
Step !. Stamp image onto card stock
Step 2. Stamp same image on a piece of paper…I like to use a “Post-it Notes” as this has some sticky on the back to hold it down
Step 3. Cut out the image on the post-it note staying close to the edge of the image or just on the inside of image.
Step 4. Layer your Post-It Note™ image over the image on your cardstock.
Step 5.Stamp your second image over your mask.
This image will appear to be in the background or as I have done here at the
side but coming from behind the first image
This allows you get two images overlapping without all the added lines you would get if
you just stamped two images on top of each other.
Here is my completed card..
I love the colours in Hydrangeas, its one of my favorite flowers…
also because they are easy to grow and I usually manage to kill most plants.
I have stamped on to Stampin’ Up! Shimmer paper using Stazon Black and
then water coloured the image with 8 different colours.
Trying to achieve a simlar colours to the ones I used to grown at my back door.
This wonderful Michele! I love the cluster of flowers you created by masking and the soft tones you used to colour your hydrangeas. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
Thanks Kim
