Lets Scrap - Love This -

Today I’m sharing the second double-page layout in my “About Me” album. This spread combines a 6″ x 8″ Memory Protector page with a variety pocket page and features three treasured childhood photographs taken by my father.

The first photo shows me with my mother when I was about 2½ years old. The second captures me sitting on a swing with my favourite doll, Patsy. The swing itself was made from an old tractor seat, something that brings back wonderful memories of growing up in the country.

The final photo, taken around 1971–72, is especially special. It shows me proudly standing beside my decorated bicycle, which my mother adorned with beautiful crepe paper flowers for the Woodburn Central School Centenary Best Dressed Bike competition. And the best part—I won!

My mother was incredibly creative and talented. She made the most amazing costumes for my sisters and me. Some were crafted entirely from crepe paper, while others were created using leftover fabric from garments she had previously sewn and carefully saved for future projects. Nothing went to waste, and her creativity seemed endless.

For this layout, I shopped my stash and combined both retired and current products. I used the Mixed In Patterns Designer Series Paper (January–April 2026 Catalogue, retired), Unforgettable Times Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack, 2026–2028 In Color Two-Tone Cardstock (current), along with the Heirloom Boutique Dies and Bordered in Beauty Dies, both of which are current products.

I love how this page not only preserves precious family memories but also celebrates the creativity and resourcefulness that I learned from my mother.
