Welcome to my Blog….over the last few months I have been trying to get back into Scrapbooking, which is something I used to do well before card making. And what better way then participating in a challenge.
Today I’m taking part in the ‘Scrapbook Global Blog Hop’, This challenge, a sketch challenge was designed by my lovely friend Julia Quinn.
Julia has created this wonderful sketch, which I thought would work well with my photo’s and who doesn’t love a great sketch to work with.
To give a vintage feel to the layout I choose to use the Country Lace and Country Woods Designer Series Papers with the ephemera elements from the Heirloom Arrangements Kit .
Added texture was added with the grid stamp from Heirloom Arrangements and a splatter stamp from the Elements of Text Stamps with the Pecan Pie Ink making sure to stamp off so to get a lighter aged look and feel.
As the photo’s are a little larger than what is shown on the sketch, I placed my title at the top of the layout. The title was cut using a Silhouette Cameo and Basic White Cardstock.
The combination of sepia-toned photos with the vibrant florals from the Heirloom Arrangements Kit create a beautiful contrast.
