Capturing Smiles Double Slider Box

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterdayโ€™s โ€˜Live with Micheleโ€™ I created this fun treat box using the Capturing Smiles Bundle by Stampinโ€™ Up! ยฎ.

This fun little treat box would be perfect for party favours or a sweet thank you giftโ€ฆ but Iโ€™d love to knowโ€”how would YOU use it? ๐Ÿ’•

I created around 50 of these in a rainbow of colours as my โ€˜swapโ€™ for last weekโ€™s OnStage 2026 event in Sydney. It was such a special timeโ€ฆ catching up with friends from all around Australia, finally meeting some Iโ€™ve only ever chatted with on Facebook, and even spending time with lovely friends visiting from overseasโ€”like Lorraine and Beth from America.

Thereโ€™s something so special about sitting together, crafting, chatting, and sharing a meal. It really fills your cup ๐Ÿฅฐ

On Stage Fun!

We also got a sneak peek at the NEW catalogue coming in Mayโ€”and thereโ€™s a big change ahead! Stampinโ€™ Up! will be moving away from the Annual Catalogue and Mini Catalogues, replacing them with three seasonal catalogues each year.

Itโ€™s definitely something new, and like any change it might take a little getting used toโ€”but it also means more flexibility, fresh products, and exciting new releases throughout the year. Iโ€™m really looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds!

Over the coming weeks, Iโ€™ll be sharing some sneak peeks of the new productsโ€”and I just know youโ€™re going to love them! ๐Ÿ’•
Make sure youโ€™re following along on my blog and Facebook page so you donโ€™t miss a thing.

Flower Fair & Party Banner Dies

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterdayโ€™s โ€˜Live with Micheleโ€™ I created this card using the Flower Fair by Stampinโ€™ Up! ยฎ, this is a sneak peak for a new product coming in the March Online Exclusives.

This is a simple Tent Fold card, but weโ€™re stepping it up by using the Party Banner Dies to create both the card base and all the layers. Iโ€™ve shown exactly how Iโ€™ve done this in the YouTube video below so you can follow along step-by-step.

The Flower Fair stamp is perfect for colouring โ€” and you definitely donโ€™t need to be an expert to achieve a beautiful result. For todayโ€™s card I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils Assortments 1 & 2, blending them with the Colour Lifter from the Stampinโ€™ Blends range.

How I created this look..

Because I used the Colour Lifter (which is alcohol-based) to blend my colours, I stamped my image with Memento Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. I find this keeps the pencil colours nice and vibrant.

If you prefer using Blender Pens (water-based) or Water Painters, you would need to switch to Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper and stamp with the Stazon Ink Pad, as itโ€™s a permanent ink and wonโ€™t bleed with water.

Using the Stampinโ€™ Positioner, I stamped the full image onto a quarter sheet of Basic White Cardstock with Memento Ink. The image is larger than whatโ€™s required for the card, so you can either colour the entire image or just the sections you plan to use.

The brightness of your flowers depends on how much colour you apply. I wanted a bright, happy look, so I pressed firmly with my pencils. Donโ€™t worry about perfect blending at this stage โ€” the Colour Lifter will help move and soften the colour beautifully.

For each flower head, I used two shades โ€” one light and one dark โ€” layering the lighter colour first, then adding the darker shade where I wanted depth and shading.

    Colour combinations used:

    • Pink โ€“ Fresh Freesia & Melon Mambo
    • Yellow โ€“ Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie
    • Blue โ€“ Balmy Blue & Night of Navy
    • Green โ€“ Granny Apple Green & Old Olive

Once I was happy with the colouring, I die cut all the layers for my card using the Party Banner Dies.

As an extra layer of interest, I also stamped the card insert and left it as a simple black and white image โ€” but you could absolutely colour this as well if you wanted to carry the brightness through the entire card.

    Lovely Blossoms

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On Live with Michele, I created this beautiful card using the Lovely Blossoms Suite Collection by Stampinโ€™ Up!ยฎ. The Lovely Blossoms products are part of the January Online Exclusives and offer such elegant floral imagery for cardmaking.

Before going live, I had a wonderful group of ladies join me for an in-person card class, and the tutorial below shows one of the cards we created together. For my Live presentation, I decided to recreate the design and step it up with a few extra elements to add more texture and detail.

Hereโ€™s what I changed for the stepped-up version:

    • Added a row of Basic White scalloped circles behind the Secret Sea DSP strip using the circle dies.
    • Positioned the ribbon behind the scallops instead of placing it on top of the DSP.
    • Created vellum leaves by stamping the three-leaf image in VersaMark and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
    • Changed the sentiment and fussy cut it for a softer, more detailed finish.

These simple additions really elevate the original design while still keeping the elegance of the Lovely Blossoms Suite.

    Greenery Lane

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterdayโ€™s Live with Michele, I created this beautiful card using the Greenery Lane Bundle and Greenery Lane Washi Tape by Stampinโ€™ Up!ยฎ.

Greenery Lane Bundle & Washi Tape

The Greenery Lane Bundle is wonderfully versatile. You can stamp and die-cut the images, and the dies also coordinate with the Greenery Lane Washi Tape, allowing you to cut out the designs and use them on your projects with ease.

The washi tape can be adhered to cardstock, vellum, or window sheet, depending on the look youโ€™d like to achieve. For this card, I chose vellum to create a soft, light, and sheer effect that adds a delicate touch to the finished design.

    Stampin’ Positioner

While designing this card, I wanted to demonstrate just how versatile the Stampinโ€™ Positioner can be. Because the plate is such a generous size, it makes stamping multiple images at once in the same ink colour both quick and easy.

The smaller plate was perfect for positioning and stamping my greeting neatly over the top, ensuring a clean and precise finish.

If you donโ€™t yet have a Stampinโ€™ Positioner, you can achieve a similar look by arranging your stamps on a large acrylic block and stamping them all at once.

Lovely Blossoms Card & Stampin’ Repositioner

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On Fridayโ€™s Live with Michele, I played with the Lovely Blossoms Suite Collection and had a good play with the NEW Stampinโ€™ Positioner by Stampinโ€™ Up!ยฎ.

Tri-Fold card using the lovely Blossoms Suite Collection

This is such a fun, simple card to make, and the Positioner makes stamping so easy. I showed how I stamped the sentiment down the side (still practising that spacing ๐Ÿ˜…) and how effortlessly you can get great ink coverage when stamping the leaves.

My favourite tip came from my gorgeous friend Heather โ€“ The Songbird Stamper, who shared a brilliant way to use the small alignment plate to stamp on already die-cut banners. If you like to cut first and stamp later, this is a total game changer!

    Cute as a Bug

Welcome to my blog โ€” Iโ€™m so glad youโ€™re here ๐Ÿ’š
Today Iโ€™m sharing a fun and whimsical card project created using the Cute as a Bug Suite from Stampin’ Up! ยฎ.

This suite is full of charm and personality, and while it may look playful at first glance, itโ€™s incredibly versatile. With a few simple design choices, it works just as beautifully for adult cards as it does for childrenโ€™s projects.

For this card, I focused on:

    • Layered die-cut mushrooms
    • Soft ink blending for depth
    • A balanced layout with gentle dimension

I didnโ€™t go into this project with a fixed plan โ€” I let the elements guide the design as I went, which made the creative process even more enjoyable. Sometimes those are the projects that turn out to be the most fun!

To make it easy for you to recreate this card, Iโ€™ve also put together a FREE printable PDF tutorial with measurements, product Links, and step-by-step instructions.

๐ŸŽ Youโ€™ll find the free printable further down in this post, so be sure to grab it before you go.

I hope this project inspires you to pull out your supplies, have a play, and enjoy the creative process โ€” whether you follow the design exactly or make it your own.

This printable tutorial walks you through creating a whimsical Cut as a Bug card featuring the Cute as a Bug Suite. With layered die cuts, soft ink blending, and simple dimension, this project is suitable for all skill levels and works beautifully for both childrenโ€™s and adult cards.

Covered in Flowers – Stampin’ Blends Background

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterdayโ€™s Live with Michele, I created this card using the Covered in Flowers Accents by Stampinโ€™ Up!ยฎ. These stunning accents are perfect for enhancing both cards and scrapbook layouts. They can be left in their beautiful off-white colour, or coloured to suit your project using Blending Brushes, sponge daubers, or Blending Pens.

    Stampin’ Blends Background

For this card, I created an alcohol-blended background and kept the accents white so they really stand out and contrast against the colourful backdrop.

When I create this style of background, I like to have control and treat it as a piece of art. Alcohol allows you to do exactly that. If thereโ€™s an area youโ€™re not happy with, you can go back in later (even hours later) and adjust it by adding more alcohol. Just be mindfulโ€”adding more alcohol will cause the colours to move and blend further, depending on how much you apply.

    Measurements Used…

There is no written tutorial, below you will find the YouTube Video to refer to.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Alcohol
Only use 90% alcohol or higher, such as Diggers alcohol, available from Big W or Bunnings.
    • Surfaces
Use non-porous surfaces only, such as Vellum or Window Sheet.
    • Colours
      • Limit the number of colours you use any more than three could create a muddy colour.
      • Use colours that will blend, I have used Complementary in Azure Afternoon and Old Olive plus Lemon Lime Twist (also a Complementary)
    • Tools
      • Paintbrush or fine-nib bottle
Used to transfer and apply the alcohol.
      • Stylus (optional)
Great for creating small dots or gently moving alcohol in detailed areas.
      • Straw or Alcohol Ink Blower
Helps control and move the ink around.
        • The more you blow the ink, the more it spreads and creates different shades.
        • Be careful not to inhale fumes when using a straw.
        • An alcohol ink blower gives more control and doesnโ€™t spread the ink as much.
    • Stamping on Alcohol Ink
If stamping onto a completed alcohol ink surface, ONLY use Memento Ink.
    • Safety
Always work in a well-ventilated area.

Swing Fun Fold Card with Kintsugi Inspirations Suite

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escapeโ€”I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterdayโ€™s โ€˜Live with Micheleโ€™ I created this card using the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite Collection by Stampinโ€™ Up! ยฎ.

This was a fun card to make and a very effective fun fold that works beautifully with the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. On this card, I cut a rectangle from the card front, but you could easily swap this for any other shape that suits your chosen products. Just be sure that any embellishments stay within the cut shape, as overhanging elements can interfere with the cardโ€™s swing.

    True Blue Florals

Hi there, and welcome! Whether youโ€™re here for inspiration, creative ideas, or simply a relaxing crafty escape, Iโ€™m so happy youโ€™ve stopped by.

On this weekโ€™s Live with Michele, I created this beautiful card using the Product of the Month โ€“ True Blue Florals by Stampinโ€™ Up!ยฎ. If you love exclusive products, youโ€™re going to love Product of the Monthโ€”a special promotion featuring a brand-new, limited-release item every month. These products are some of the best Stampinโ€™ Up! has to offer and arenโ€™t available in any catalogue or in the Online Exclusives.

Each month, a new product is released and is available only once per account. Quantities are limited, so when theyโ€™re gone, theyโ€™re gone for good!

โœจ Decemberโ€™s Product of the Month: True Blue Florals

This is a very simple layout, not too complicated, as the focus is on showcasing the fussy-cut florals. While fussy cutting does take a little extra time and patience, it is well worth the effort for the beautiful finished result.

The contrast of Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, and white, combined with the mix of textures from cardstock and vellum, gives this card a soft, elegant feel while allowing the florals to truly shine.
