Flowering Tulips

My card today uses the Flowering Tulips Bundle along with the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. and Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon. This can be found in the 2022 Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!®.

The Flowering Tulips Stamps are a two step stamp and the colours I used for the tulips here are Highland Heather, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody. I stamped the finer detail stamp using full strength ink and used the 2nd stamp with ink that I had stamped off before stamping on my project- 2 step second Generation stamping.

The dies that are included in this bundle allows you to die cut 3 dimension tulip flowers, though I did not use them here. I did use the leaf dies to cut out the leaves I had stamped. There is also another die that cuts out groups of little squares. I have used these to add texture to the panel under my tulips also to the card insert. It also allows for the lovely DSP to show through. Before die cutting the squares I did stamp the stems and a few leaves in Old Olive and Evening Evergreen ink.

Other Dies used in the card is the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut the panel on the front and the sentiment was die cut using the Layering Circles.

This was a fun bundle to use and has a great variety for sentiments in different formats to suite all needs.

Tutorial Bundle for Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, we decided we wanted to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely, and help is needed now. Therefore, the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.

Artfully Composed

Artfully Composed is a beautiful tropical themed suite by Stampin’ Up! ® and found in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalogue. It has been fun playing with these stamps and dies.

This suite is made for layering of stamped images, die cuts and Designer Series Papers. You can see this in the designs used in the Designer series Paper in how the have used layers of leaves and colour.

With this card I have used lots of layers from the water wash background to the sentiment on top.

The Creativity Abounds Design Team are running a Stamp Camp based on this suite…If you are wishing to attend you will need to purchase your products and let me know tomorrow (my cut off date -so you can order the required products & I can get the Make’n’take products needed to you). Artfully Composed Stamp Camp

Amazing Silhouettes

This was a fun card to make using the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp set. You may not recognise this stamp as it is a sneak peak from the 2022 Jan-Jun Stampin’ Up! ® Mini Catalogue.

I tried to create a male theme card with the Amazing Silhouettes tree and the grays of the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper. The colours behind the tree are the colours in a sunset shinning through the tree.

The sentiment comes from the Handsomely Suited Stamps, heat embossed in black and cut into sections to create space.

I used the Stamparatus to help create the layers of colours. Using a Sponge Dauber to add one colour at a time to the stamp, then stamping each colour separately and making sure that each colour blends (or overlaps into the other).

Bumble Bee
Evening Evergreen

Creativity Abounds Blog Hop – Christmas Gift Packaging

This month our theme is Gift Packaging.

There is a story behind my project today and I would love to share that with you.

As a child in the 1970’s in the small country town where we lived we still had the Baker, Fruit and Veg Man and Milk Man that would deliver to us each week. Come Christmas my mother would go and buy a bottle of Beer for each one as a thank you for the service they provided. She would wrap the bottle in red crepe paper and a strip of back cardboard around the middle and the a Santa head cut from Christmas wrapping…It wasn’t always easy to find the wrapping with the right size head to fit the bottle, so it was very special when it was found and kept for the following year.

A few times I have done this also, so this year it was time to repeat this tradition. So here is my take on the Special Christmas Gift that my mother made.

Using Red Velvet Paper and Real red Cardstock I have created a great gift box for a bottle of wine.

Here I have used Red Velvet Paper & Real Red Cardstock to make a box to hold the bottle of wine. He has his belt and shinny buckle made from Basic Black cardstock and Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

Below I have added a video showing how I created this box to fit the bottle. By taking a few simple measurements you can customise this box to fit any size bottle. CLICK the image below to view the video

Whimsy And Wonder

Creativity Abounds Blog Hop Theme this month is Whimsy and Wonder by Stampin’ Up!® and is found in the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue

I am a traditional Christmas girl but this suite is just stunning….It is soft and whimsical. I love all the different style trees from the traditional Christmas tree to the Folk Art trees and they work so well together.

This card is a fun and simple project to create and when you open it up there is a pocket to hold a Gift Card for giving at Christmas.

Creativity Abounds September Stamp Camp- Whimsy & Wonder Suite

Do you want to have a weekend of fun! Join me at the Creativity Abounds September Stamp Camp

What is a Stamp Camp? Its a BIG class…run through Facebook and Zoom, so you don’t need to leave your home comforts. At a time where we can’t leave our homes this is a great way of having some fun, with others (via Facebook), do something fun and craft.

You will have 13 demonstrators from around the world running classes for you to follow. There will be a class approx. every hour and as some of these classes are in other time zones they will be on an Exclusive Facebook page where you can go and watch at your leisure.

We will be Creating with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite from the Jun- December 2021 Stampin’ Up! mini Catalogue. I love this suite with the beautiful soft colour palette and it has a little bit of everything – trees, snowflakes and Christmas ornaments.

Join me and the other 12 amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from the Creativity Abounds Design Team.
