My Live this week I used the Waves of Inspiration from the NEW 2022-23 Annual Catalogue. This was so much fun to make…who doesn’t like to make a mess sometimes…Me!
This card uses the Emboss Resist Technique with a water colour wash to create the background. Prior to making this card i played with a few ideas on how to colour my watercolour paper and in the end came up with the best result. Some of my play pieces I have shown in the video.
You could use Shimmery White cardstock instead of the watercolour Fluid 100 but you may get a slightly different result. Anyway every time you make this card you will get different effects.
I did forget to stamp the birds on my Live and did them later, they were stamped in the Starry Sky Ink.
This weeks Live I show how to make this card using the Hues of Happiness…
Measurements
Card Base- Thick Basic White 14.9 x 21cm, score at 10.5cm
Card Front- Starry Sky 9 x 13.5cm
Card Front – Fluid 100 Watercolour paper 8.5 x 13cm
Sentiment and Pelican- Basic White Reg Cardstock 6 x 10cm

The Hues of Happiness Suite is one of the NEW products coming in the Stampin’ Up! ® Annual Catalogue to be released on the 3rd May.
The suite is made up of Happiness Abounds Stamps, a line drawn rose image that can be stamped and coloured using either Blends,Watercolour Pencils or Inks. There are 8 image stamps and 7 sentiments in a beautiful script font.
The Happiness Abounds Bundle includes the dies, there are 8 dies that match all of the images i the stamps. Then 3 extra dies, one that cuts and embosses a background image and 2 others that cut 2 different edges to look like pages from a spiral bound book.
The colours in the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper are stunning, they are bright and vibrant. One side side of the paper has gorgeous rose images and some these can be cut out with the Dies as I have done for my cards. The other side of the papers are just as beautiful. A couple of the pages have small floral prints others are a dry brush look of colour. Both sides of the papers are variegated in colour which gives you a of colours to choose from…It’s hard to explain you just have to see for your self.
To finish the suite off it also comes with beautiful Glossy Dots Assortment, 4 colours of yumminess.
This weeks Live I show how to make these cards using the Hues of Happiness…
Inspiration for this card came from a group on Facebook – Clean and Simple Cardmaking

This month our theme is Gift Packaging.
There is a story behind my project today and I would love to share that with you.
As a child in the 1970’s in the small country town where we lived we still had the Baker, Fruit and Veg Man and Milk Man that would deliver to us each week. Come Christmas my mother would go and buy a bottle of Beer for each one as a thank you for the service they provided. She would wrap the bottle in red crepe paper and a strip of back cardboard around the middle and the a Santa head cut from Christmas wrapping…It wasn’t always easy to find the wrapping with the right size head to fit the bottle, so it was very special when it was found and kept for the following year.
A few times I have done this also, so this year it was time to repeat this tradition. So here is my take on the Special Christmas Gift that my mother made.
Here I have used Red Velvet Paper & Real Red Cardstock to make a box to hold the bottle of wine. He has his belt and shinny buckle made from Basic Black cardstock and Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.
Below I have added a video showing how I created this box to fit the bottle. By taking a few simple measurements you can customise this box to fit any size bottle. CLICK the image below to view the video
Make sure you have a look at our Tutorial below full of amazing Packaging ideas. You can purchase this Tutorial from my Tutorial Shop or earn for Free when spending $50 o more in my On-Line Store.

Have you ever tried making your own Designer Series Paper or One Sheet Wonder…I have only given this a try a few times. I think these cards turned out really well.
I was inspired by a fellow stamper – Northern Stamper and a card she did using the Batik Boutique Stamps by Stampin’ Up! ® and a range of Blue Stampin’ Pads.
I decided to create this card as a One Sheet Wonder – just a basic one, where a sheet of A4 Basic White Cardstock is stamped to create your DSP and then cut into 4 to create 4 cards.
I only used 3 colours- Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue and Pool Party for both the stamping and cardstock. But then added an extra ‘POP’ with the Gold and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.
Measurements Used..
Card Base Misty Moonlight – Portrait Card 10.5 x 29.9cm, scored at 14.9cm Or Landscape Card 14.9 x 21cm, scored at 10.5cm
Card Mat Balmy Blue or Pool Party – 10 x 14.4cm
Card Front DSP- 9.7 x 14.1cm
Circle Die cut – 7 x 7 cm cut with 5.5cm die (cut size of circle), then embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
Metallic Specialty Paper – 1.5 x 9cm
Sentiment – Scrap of Basic White
Sentiment – scrap of Balmy Blue or Pool Party
Card Insert Basic White – 10 x14.4cm

Here is another ‘Sneak Peek’ to another product coming in the NEW Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. Colour & Contour Bundle is made up of 5 frames, 1 scallop edge die and 2 dies to cut the floral images from the stamp set.
Here I have also used the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper(DSP), this DSP is found at the back of the Catalogue in the ‘Host & Earn’ section. You can earn this DSP when you have Party Sales over $310….and it will be FREE.
Above image is taken from the current 2020-21 Annual Catalogue showing what Rewards you can earn from Hosting a Party or by placing an order over $250 (minim)
The Pattern Party Designer Series Paper has 48 sheets- 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. One side of the Paper has coloured images and on the other Black and White images, which can be coloured to coordinate with what ever colours you are using with most of our colouring tools.
For my card I have coloured the back & white DSP with a sponge dauber and Highland Heather Ink Pads.
