Monthly Team Blog Hop August 2020 – Flowers for Every Season

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Blog Hop! As you follow the hop I hope you find lots of ideas and inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world taking part in a training program helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® Business and reach some of our goals. Thank you, we really appreciate your support.

Flowers for Every Season

My card today is very simple and is all about texture and as they would say in ‘Sesame Street’ …

“It’s brought to by the letter B – Bumble Bee”.

If you asked me what my favorite colour is I would tell you BLUE, I still love blue but I’m really liking Bumble Bee at the moment. This card just uses the Whisper White and Bumble Bee looks so clean and fresh.

I have a tendency to work within a suite only adding a few small extras that you wouldn’t notice that belong to another collection. With this card I have pulled elements from different collections and put them together and I love it!

Give it a try, it’s fun once you get your head around it…Group products together from different suites and see what you come up with. I’d love to see what you make.

This is a simple card to CASE and I will list all the products I used below and they will be linked back to my On-Line Store.

Thank you for coming by today! We have an amazing line up of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators and we know you are going to love all the amazing projects that you are going to see today. So you don’t miss out on anyone’s page you are currently on my page – Michele Jutrisa. The next page to visit is listed below my name on the list below. (If I am the last on the list then, jump up the top and continue from there)  Enjoy the hop!

Peony Gardens and Blends

Welcome to another Blog post on this chilly but beautiful Saturday Morning.

Peony Gardens and Blends

Approximately two weeks ago I showed you a card using the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper where I just coloured the back ground of the paper. I was enjoying the relaxation of just colouring in that I did another, this time adding more colours. It has sat on my desk for a few days and last night I finally made it into a card.

The Blends are wonderful for colouring in as they don’t leave that line on your work that markers can leave.

The colours I have used are…

The Measurements I used are…

  • Card Base, Basic Black – 10.5 x 29.8cm, scored 14.9cm
  • Mat, DSP – 14.47 x 10cm
  • Mat, Basic Black – 8 x 12.4cm
  • Card Front, DSP – 10 x 15cm and trimmed down to 7.7 x 12.1cm

Inside the card I added a sheet of Whisper White Cardstock 10 x 14.4cm, and added a strip of DSP that I had trimmed off.

Here’s a Tip….

They are sometimes a little forgotten but use the Black Combo pack of Dimensionals. I used the mini ones under my sentiment and the larger ones under the Basic Back Mat. Great to have when using darker colours in your cardstock. Always worth while having a pack handy.

Card Sketch Challenge – Birthdays are the Best Days

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

This is the last card I made on Saturday using the Card Sketch Challenge

Birthdays are the Best Days

I love Sketch Challenges…the work is already done for you. All you need to do is work out what colours and Designer Series Paper or stamps you want to use.

If I’m stuck for ideas and not sure what to do I will go back to Sketches that I have saved on my computer or on Pinterest and use them for my inspiration. Ideas for cards and Scrapbook pages can come from all sorts of places. The Stampin’ Up! ® Catalogue is a great source of layout ideas.

For my card below I have used products from the Forever Greenery Suite Collection to create my card. I have kept it very simple using the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper as the main feature and used a Gold Hoop Embellishment to highlight the sentiment.

Black and White Challenge

Good morning, I hope you are keep warm, on this wonderful Winters day.

Thank you for joining me on my blog to day where we will look at another Challenge I did last Saturday.

Black and White Challenge

Use only Black and White…no other colour!

It didn’t have to be a card…it could be anything I want…What would you make?

Painted Poppies

I made a card…Again I kept it simple and used the Painted Poppies Stamps.

For this card I stamped the poppy image with VersaMark onto the Basic Black. The VersaMark was hard to see on the Basic Black so I stamped and heat embossed half the card at a time using the White Embossing Powder.

The Whisper White panel across the middle of the card i cut using one of the rectangle dies from the Ornate Layers Dies. I trimmed the side edges of as it was too long for the width of the card front. The bed of Poppies where stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed using Black Embossing Powder.

To finish the card I wrapped Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon around the Whisper White Cardstock and tied off with a knot, cutting the ends at a angle. A simple way to finish your ribbon instead of tying a bow or if your length of ribbon is too short for a bow.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

On Saturday I took part in a all day “On-Line Card Making” event.

It was so much fun, even though we were sitting in our own homes. Through out the day we were set challengers to make cards using different products. Over this week I thought I would share with you those challenges and what I made. Now these are not the best cards I have made, but it was all about doing the challenge and having fun.

In this challenge I had to make a card only using three products either going Across, Down or Diagonal

I chose the middle row across….Bling, Designer Series Paper and Flowers

Bling Rhinestone Basic Jewels 144220

Designer Series Paper In Good Taste 152494

Flowers Lovely You Stamp Set 152525

Other Products I used are..

Why not give the challenge a go yourself…I’d love to see what you come up with. You can post your finished card in the comments about this card on my Facebook Page.

Happy Birthday – Peony Garden

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

Happy Birthday

‘Love it, Chop it’….#loveitchopit

What is ‘Love it, Chop it’? Instead of hoarding our beautiful Stampin’ Up! ® Designer Series Paper (DSP), Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator Kylie Bertucci encourages us to love our papers by cutting it into usable pieces and use it on our cards. You can make lots of card fronts by cutting your DSP into 10 x 14.4 cm pieces. Out of one sheet of DSP you will get 6 card fronts.

You are more likely to use your beautiful papers when in smaller pieces.

Make this DSP your own by colouring it in…Colouring is also good for your well being, so relaxing.

For this card I have used my Stampin’ Blends in Mint Macaron to colour in the back ground.

Hello

Welcome to my Blog… I hope you are having a lovely Sunday afternoon.

Today I have a simple card for you

Hello

For the card I made today, I have used one of the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper 152493 panels. This paper is gold on one side and white on the other. With a sponge brayer and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Pad I have coloured the white side.

The panel was then adhered to a piece of Pretty Peacock and Crumb Cake Cardstock.  A label was made using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch 152883 and was wrapped around one side of the card. A hole was punched and Linen Thread attach and adhered to the back.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my Blog. I hope you have enjoyed my projects & that you’re inspired to get crafty!

All Things Fabulous

Good morning on this beautiful Saturday Morning, it’s a little bit chilly out side but still very beautiful.

Last night I made this card and didn’t get a chance to blog about it…so this will be my card for today and then it’s back to work sewing.

All Things Fabulous by Stampin’ Up!®

WOW…WOW…This is such a beautiful stamp set and I love the sentiments in this set.

All Things Fabulous is a ‘Two-step Stamp’…..What is a Two-Step Stamp?

Two- step stamp is where you have more than one image or stamp to build a complete image.

To create blossoms with Two-Step Stampin’, stamp the largest image in the lightest colour of ink. Then stamp the detailed images in progressively darker colours. The stamps are ‘Photopolymer’ which allows you to see through the stamp to line them up.

This stamp set comes as a Bundle – All Things Fabulous Bundle 154112. All Bundles are discounted by 10%. If you purchase All Things Fabulous Bundle in July and add another $10 of product to your order and you will also receive a a Coupon for $9 to spend in August.

The  background on my card was created by sponging over one of the lattice panels from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper.
