Forever Greenery – You Can Do This…

My card today was created using products from the Stampin’ Up! ® Forever Greenery Suite.

This card has two main elements – the wreath and the water colour wash back ground.

The wreath brings together products such as the Forever Fern Bundle (stamps and Dies) and the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper.

Remember..Purchase a bundle get a 10% discount

The back ground was created with a water wash of Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz Re-Inkers, using the new Water Painters. The broad brush Water Painter made this a quick and easy technique. When you purchase the Water Painters it comes in a set of 3 – 1 x fine tip painter, 1 x medium tip painter & 1 x large flat brush  painter. They are so easy to use, fill the barrel with water for easy colouring. You may find the brushes may stain but as long as you clean them well they are ready to go for your next project.

The Forever Greenery Suite collection is made up of 6 products and Stampin’ Up! ® has made ordering very easy all you need is one Item Code for the suite.

The suite includes the Forever Fern Bundle and the price has been adjusted with the 10% discount.

Jar of Flowers- Thank You

For this card I have used Stampin’ Up! ® Jar of Flowers Bundle , which includes the Jar of Flowers Stamp set and Jar Punch.

The punch cuts a Mason Jar and the Mason Jar Shaker Domes fits perfectly into them. The domes you can fill with anything you wish, today I have used the Flowers for Every Season Gems in my jar, but you could put seeds or coloured confetti.

The flowers I stamped 3 times and I used Paper Tole Techniques to get dimension and height. The bottom layer is complete, where the second layer I used the 3 large flowers and 2 smaller blue flowers. Then the top layer is only the two front flowers. In between each layer is dimensionals to give you the height.

Poppy Moments See Through Card

Hi and welcome to my Blog today.

This week I have been working a special for a very special person, my Mother as her birthday is not far away.

Poppy Moments See Through Card

For this card I have used the products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite found in the Stampin’ Up! ® Mini Catalogue.

I have ‘CASED’ this card from Jennifer McGuire. She has a wonderful video showing how to make a this card.

In making this card I have made a couple of changes from the products Jennifer used.

  • I have used products from the Stampin’ Up! ® 2020 Mini Catalogue – Poppy Moments Dies
  •  This card is a three fold card and by having the fold to the side instead of the top I was able to make the card base with only the join to card front.

This card was not a hard card to make but I did have to play with it to get the layout of flowers and leaves the way I wanted it.

Jennifer suggests to use ‘Glad Press’n Seal’, glad I had this in my stash as it would have taken a lot longer with out it. When removing it, take it very slow and gently so not to damage the die cuts.

Forever Blossoms – Partial Die Cut

Hi and welcome to my Blog.

Today’s card was inspired by a video from Jennifer McGuire on Partial Die Cuts.

What is ‘Partial Die Cutting?

Partial Die cutting is just what it says… your only cutting part of the die. But in this case we are using two dies and on each one your cutting only a part of the die. The products I used  for my card are Stampin’ Up! ® Forever Blossoms Bundle and Stitched so Sweetly Dies.

I found it wasn’t as easy as it looked at first and it took me about 6 attempts to get something that I was happy with. The down side of this technique is now my dies are slightly bent…they still work so that’s OK.

The image was then coloured using Stampin’ Up! ® Blends.

Products & Measurements used…

How did I make this card…

  • Stamping, die cutting & colouring the image – I would suggest watching Jennifer McGuire’s video
  • On either side on the label portion of the cut out I punched a small hole so later ribbon can be threaded through.
  • Colour a length of Ribbon as per video linked below.

  • With smaller mat piece (8.5 x 11.5 cm) cut with one of the scallop stitch die from the Stitched so Sweetly dies and emboss with Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere the two mats together.
  • Place dimensionals onto the back of the die cut image..DO NOT remove the backings
  • How to thread the ribbon – start at the left hole and take one end of the ribbon from the back to the front. At this point you can place the mats under the image (do not remove backings from the dimensionals). Then take the ribbon behind the mats and across to the left side. Put the two ends of the ribbon together and thread through the right hole on the stamped image. While the ribbon is loose remove backings from the dimensionals and adhere in place. Tie a bow and trim.
  • With Multi Purpose Glue attach the mats to card base.
  • Sentiment – stamp sentiment onto a piece of basic Black cardstock using VersaMark and White Embossing Powder. Adhere the sentiment to card with the mini dimensonals.

Peaceful Poppies

Hi and welcome to my Blog.

Wow! What a world we are living in at the moment…ever changing and it seems day by day. I Pray that you are all keeping safe and healthy at this time. Everything just seems so unreal…I keep hoping that I will wake up and this will be all over. But that unfortunately isn’t happening.

The other morning I opened my daily devotional book I’m reading and it said ‘ Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying ,pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7’

It was wonderful to read these words, it gives me great comfort as like many of us our family are spread far and wide. We have to hand over to God all our fears and worry, knowing that he has it all worked out,  no matter what happens God is in control. So lets Pray together to God for his Blessings and healing and to give us peace of mind and heart.

Today I want to share with you 3 cards I made for my ‘Face to Face’ class I held last month using Stampin’ Up!® products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite. This suite of products are in the Mini Catalogue and are available until June from my On-Line Store.

Peaceful Poppies Tutorial

I have also made a tutorial for each of these cards, so that you too can have a go at making them. While we are taking shelter in our homes at this time having something to make and share with others is great for our peace of minds.

Each of the cards are simple to make but also with each one the skill level will steps up.

If you don’t live in Australia and you use the US Letter Size cardstock, you may have to adjust the measurements to work for your cardstock. The only adjustments you would have to make is the Card base size and mat size.

I hope this encourages you to make these cards, as I said the Peaceful Poppies Suite is still available to purchase. Order yours today, make them with your family and enjoy the time together.

Keeping you all in my Prayers.

Ornate Garden

Hi and welcome to my Blog.

The card I have made today was so much fun to make and it was inspired by Scrappy Strip Technique by Bruno Bertucci

It’s a great way to use up all those of-cuts and it’s not as hard as it looks.

Bruno has done a video on this and you can find it on Kylie Bertucci YouTube Channel.

I must say I am in love with this beautiful die from the Ornate Boarder Dies.

The products I have used are from Stampin’ Up! ® Ornate Garden Suite which is an Early Release product from the up coming new Annual Catalogue 2020-21. You will be able to purchase then products as part of the Early Release on the 1 April until 31 May. If you want these products now then Join my Team. You can add some of these products to your starter Kit

How did I create the Boarder edge?

I have trimmed 2.5cm off the side front of my card base. Then with a 4 cm x 14.9cm strip of cardstock I cut out the die and attached to the front of the card.

I attached strips of the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper  to a piece of cardstock measuring 15 x 10.5 cm and then trimmed down to 7.8 x 14.9cm, attach to card front with dimensionals.

On Whisper White cardstock stamp your sentiment and cut using the stitched frame die from the Ornate Layer Dies.
