Welcome to Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own. Each month we will be showing different ideas based around products, themes and challenges.

Our theme this month for the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop is a ‘Photo Inspiration Challenge’ created by me…the challenge is to let this image inspire you on either a card or scrapbook layout. So it could be the textures such as the barnwood of the barn, colours of the flowers or just the use of flowers.

What inspired me was the barnwood, the flowers and the country feel. I used 4 of the flower designs from the Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper a long with the Country Wood Designer Series Paper and the hexagons in the Meant to Bee Dies to create a patchwork background.
I enjoy English Paper Piecing (Patchwork) and these dies from the Meant to Bee Dies, are a 1-1/4 ” dies, the smallest of 5 dies, I could only create 2 of the “Grandmothers Flowers Garden Block” pieces or part of the block pattern, due to size of the dies. It took a lot of playing around to create the right layout so you could see the elements.

How I created my page…
To make to the hexigons stand out on the page, I linked around the edges with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I have three photos on this layout, the third photo is hidden under the 4 x4 photo at the top of the page with the use of a ‘Flip Flap’.along with the journaling, behind the photo. I decided that if I used the third photo on the layout it would have covered up too much of the hexi’s.
The title was created with Alphabet A La Mode Dies, die cut in Misty Moonlight and Basic Black Cardstock. By layering the dies on top of each other and slightly off set it creates a shadow line and helps the lettering to ‘POP’.
To finish my page I added some splatters in Tuxcedo Black and Misty Moonlight Ink.
