Sketched Butterflies

On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created this card using the Sketched Butterflies Bundle along with the Full of Life Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! ®.

I decided today was the day to o a bit of colouring with watercolour pencils and by using the Stampin’ Blends Colour Lifter it ment I could use Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp with.

If using the Aqua Painter with water or the Stampin’ Blender Pens you need to use Stazon Ink but if your using Stampin Blends (Alcohol) markers then you can use Memento Ink. I think of it as a case of ‘opposites attract’….water needs permanent ink and Alcohol needs water base ink.

I find that the Colour Lifter blends the water colour pencils really well on the Basic White Cardstock.

In the video below I show how I have coloured the butterfly not tring to be too precise in my colouring. As the stamped image has sketched detail I wanted that to carry through with the colouring. So I don’t mind that you can still see some of the unblended lines from the water olour pencilss.
