This Week’s Card – All Wrapped Up!

This week’s card brings together three beautiful products from the new catalogue—the All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper, Elegantly Wrapped Bundle and Wrapped Greenery Bundle, these 3 items are part of the All Wrapped Up Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®.

And I have to say, the All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunning! The vintage-inspired designs, beautiful colours and silver foil accents make it a real standout.

One thing I particularly love about this Designer Series Paper is that it is single-sided and considerably thicker than our regular Designer Series Paper. This makes it especially versatile—not only for cards and scrapbook pages, but also for decorated boxes, gift packaging and other projects where you want a little more structure.

The Bow is the Star!

The focal point of this card is the beautiful die-cut bow from the Elegantly Wrapped Dies. But this isn’t just an ordinary die cut!

The bow was created using the Impressions Plate, which is designed to work with specially created Impressions Dies. These dies can both cut shapes and add beautiful embossed details, giving your projects an extra layer of texture and dimension.

For the best cutting and embossing results, use the Impressions Plate with the Impressions Dies in your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

My Tip for Using the Impressions Plate

I have found that giving your cardstock a very light spritz of water before running it through the machine helps achieve a lovely embossed effect.

Cut the bow pieces as you would normally do except I like to run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine twice using the normal plate sandwich. This helps keep the cardstock securely inside the die.

Then it’s time to change the sandwich for the embossing step:

Start with Plates 1 & 2.
Place your cardstock and die upside down, keeping the cut cardstock inside the die.
Place the Impressions Plate on top.
Add Plate 4.
Run the sandwich through the Cut & Emboss Machine again.

The Impressions Plate will stretch as it passes through the machine. Don’t worry—this is completely normal and is part of how the plate works to create those beautiful embossed details.

The result is a beautifully detailed bow with both clean, precise edges and gorgeous embossed texture—making it the perfect focal point for this card.

Bringing It All Together

The Wrapped Greenery Bundle adds the perfect finishing touch, with its delicate leaves, sprigs and berries providing a natural contrast to the beautiful bow and vintage-inspired Designer Series Paper.

I love how these three products work together. The Designer Series Paper provides the beautiful background, the greenery adds texture and detail, and the embossed bow becomes the star of the card.

And while I’ve used these products for a Christmas card, I can already see so many other possibilities—especially with the beautiful greenery and the versatility of the Designer Series Paper.

Holly Jolly Branches

In today’s Live with Michele, I created this simple and bright Christmas card using the Holly Jolly Branches Bundle by Stampin’ Up!®.

I’ve kept the card white on white, adding texture and interest with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and a die-cut square from the Tile Garden Dies.

For a pop of Christmas colour, I die cut the trees from Azure Afternoon, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green cardstock, then layered them onto the Tile Garden die cut.

To add even more interest, I used the coordinating stamps from the Holly Jolly Branches Bundle to create visual texture on the trees.

🎄 Crafting Tip – Try Something Different!

There are lots of ways to change the look of these little trees!

✨ Use Designer Series Paper – Cut the trees from your favourite printed DSP for an easy way to add pattern and colour.

✨ Use your scraps! – Why not use those leftover pieces of Stampin’ Blends-coloured vellum?

For this card, I adhered the vellum to Basic White cardstock using Adhesive Sheets before die cutting the trees. This gives the vellum extra stability while still allowing the beautiful soft, translucent colour to show through.

It’s also a great way to use up those little pieces of vellum and coloured scraps you might otherwise pop into the scrap bin!

I love how one simple design can look completely different just by changing the paper you use.

Wreath & Wonder Floating Card- Sneak Peek

There’s something about adding a touch of metallic foil to a handmade card that instantly gives it that little bit of WOW!

For today’s card, I’m giving you a sneak peek at some exciting new products coming in the Radiance Awaits Brochure and September–December Stampin’ Up! ® Catalogue.

The star of this card is definitely the Wreath & Wonder Hot Foil Dies By Stampin’ Up!® ✨

The Wreath & Wonder Hot Foil Dies

I’ve used the detailed wreath from the Wreath & Wonder Hot Foil Dies to create the beautiful metallic wreath on my card.

If you haven’t tried hot foiling before, it is such a fun way to add another dimension to your card making. The foil catches the light beautifully and gives the delicate wreath an elegant finish without needing lots of extra embellishments.

And that’s what I particularly love about this card—the wreath really doesn’t need much else around it. The foil does the talking!

A little more Christmas magic

I’ve also used the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies for the “Tis the Season” sentiment, which I showed in a previous ‘Live’. The Magical Christmas Dies has 7 sentiments, all created at the same time..more to use on your next project which is what I have done today.

Having the sentiment created with hot foil as well brings the whole card together and gives the metallic detail a lovely consistency.

I’ve then added a few embellishments for just a little extra sparkle.

Don’t overlook the Designer Series Paper!

For the background, I’ve used the beautiful Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper.

I chose to cut the DSP into strips and layer them across the card front, creating a Floating Card. I love how this lets the different areas of the pattern show while creating a little more interest behind the wreath.

Although Whispering Woods works beautifully for a winter or Christmas project, I think this paper is one you’ll want to look at beyond the obvious. It would also be great for a scrapbooking page for boys and men—from childhood photos and teenage years to sporting memories, holidays and everyday moments.

Joyful Friends – When the Card Doesn’t Quite Go to Plan

On Friday’s Live with Michele, I created this card using the Joyful Friends Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!®. This is another Sneak Peak to what is coming next month with the Sept-Dec Catalogue.

When Things Don’t Go to Plan

This was a fun card to make — and not necessarily because it turned out the way I had imagined! There were quite a few little bloopers along the way, and creatively, this one ended up being a bit of a learning experience for me.

For me, the finished card ended up feeling a little too green. If I were to remake it, I think I would use some Designer Series Paper as the card front and play around with the layout a little more.

But that’s the thing about creating — sometimes what we see in our heads doesn’t quite translate onto the card in front of us. And that’s okay!

What I Do Love

Not every card is going to be a favourite, and sometimes the cards that don’t work out exactly as planned are the ones that teach us the most. They give us ideas about what we might change, what we might try next time, and sometimes even lead us in a completely different creative direction.

One part of this card that I am really happy with is the colouring. I enjoyed using the Stampin’ Blends, and I think the Australian animals turned out really well. They certainly add plenty of personality to the card!

So, while this card may not have turned out exactly as I had hoped, I’m still glad I made it. It’s all part of the creative process — try something, see what happens, and then have another go!

And sometimes, that’s where the best ideas come from.

Christmas Mice

On this week’s Live with Michele, I created this sweet Christmas card using the Christmas Mice Bundle from the A Little Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®. This adorable bundle and suite will be available in September as part of the September–December Catalogue.

Last week I coloured these adorable little mice using Stampin’ Blends, but this week I wanted to show you a different look by using Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils, Blender Pens, and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

The design itself is simple, allowing this cute little mouse to take centre stage. I love using Watercolour Pencils because the colours blend so beautifully. With just a Blender Pen or a Water Painter, the pencil lines soften and melt together, creating a lovely hand-painted finish.

TIP:

If you use Basic White Cardstock instead of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, be sure to use a light touch when blending with a Blender Pen or Water Painter. Basic White Cardstock absorbs moisture much more quickly, and overworking it can cause the paper fibres to break down.

A Little Christmas

On this week’s Live with Michele, I created this sweet Christmas card using the A Little Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®. This adorable suite is a sneak peek from the upcoming September–December 2026 Catalogue, and it’s packed with festive inspiration for all your Christmas crafting.

I have completely fallen in love with these cute little mice! They’re full of personality and can be coloured using whatever colouring medium you enjoy most. For today’s card, I used Stampin’ Blends in Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, and Petal Pink to colour the mice, while the gift was brought to life with Cherry Cobbler and a touch of Golden Glow Shimmer Brush for some festive sparkle.

The A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper is incredibly versatile. The “A” sides feature charming Christmas scenes with the adorable mice and festive icons, while the “B” sides offer classic plaids and stripes that will coordinate beautifully with so many Christmas projects throughout the catalogue.

I also couldn’t resist sharing another sneak peek—the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. It creates such a gorgeous woven texture that adds depth and elegance to your card layers without taking attention away from the beautiful designer paper.

Pretty Poinsettia Christmas Card

On yesterday’s Live with Michele, I created this elegant Christmas card using the Pretty Poinsettia Dies and Shimmering Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®. The Pretty Poinsettia Dies are also available as part of a bundle with a coordinating stamp set, both featured in the July Online Exclusives.

Why I Love the Pretty Poinsettia Dies

I absolutely love this poinsettia die and know it will be one I’ll reach for year after year—not only for Christmas cards but also for festive scrapbook pages.

One of my favourite features is the incredible detail. The dies have been specially designed to be used with the Impressions Plate. When you add the Impressions Plate to your die-cuts, the result is stunning dimension, with both raised and debossed textures that really bring the poinsettia to life. See video below for all my tips and how to use the Impressions Plate.

Creating a Soft Glowing Background

For the background, I coloured the Shimmering Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper using a Blending Brush and ink. By concentrating the colour around the edges and leaving the centre lighter, I created a soft glowing effect behind the poinsettia. Combined with the shimmer of the paper, it adds just the right amount of sparkle to this simple yet elegant card design.

A Stitched Season Suite Collection | July Online Exclusives Sneak Peek

On Friday’s Live with Michele, I created this festive Christmas card using the A Stitched Season Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®. This beautiful suite is part of the upcoming July Online Exclusives, and I couldn’t wait to have a play and share a little sneak peek with you.

As soon as I opened this suite, I was inspired by the combination of traditional Christmas imagery and beautiful patterned papers. The collection offers plenty of opportunities to create cards, scrapbook pages, and other festive projects.

Now, I know what you’re thinking—Christmas products already? However, as crafters, we know that the holiday season arrives much faster than we expect. Therefore, getting started early means we can enjoy the creative process without the last-minute rush.

Creating the Patchwork Stocking

One of my favourite elements in the suite is the Christmas Stocking Die. Naturally, I couldn’t resist adding my own creative twist. Instead of using the stocking as designed, I decided to create a patchwork-style foot using one of the quilt-inspired patterns from the Stitched Season Designer Series Paper.

To create this effect, I carefully cut individual squares from the designer paper and positioned them over the stocking die before cutting. Although this took a little extra time, the result was well worth the effort. In fact, the paper piecing added texture, interest, and a handmade charm that I absolutely love.

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop- December

Our challenge this month—set by me, Michele Jutrisa, is a ‘Christmas Challenge’ to create a Christmas Decoration for your tree. We hope this inspires you to get creative and craft a lovely decoration for your home or Christmas tree.

Traditions of Christmas

I have a tradition in my home where each year I add a new Christmas ornament to our tree. Last year it was a beautiful ornament my son and his girlfriend brought back from Amsterdam. Other years it has been something special I’ve found, been gifted, or created myself.
So for December, I decided our challenge simply had to be to create something special for your tree using Stampin’ Up!® products.

For my project, I chose to work with products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite, paired with the Large Gold Hoops and the All Seasons Velvet Specialty Paper.

How I Created..

Using the Christmas Greenery Dies, I cut pine branches from Gold Foil and Secret Sea cardstock, and holly leaves from the green velvet Specialty Paper. With the Traditional Label Dies, I cut three labels from Basic White cardstock and stacked them to create a thicker banner—the top piece stamped before layering.

To attach the bow and foliage to the hoop, I used two small circles cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. For one circle, I folded a bow shape (not knotted) and stapled it to the centre. For the second circle, I placed the hoop on top and added both large and mini dimensionals on either side to secure the hoop in place. Because of how I wanted the elements to sit, I positioned most of the circles on the inside of the hoop.
After removing the Dimensional backings, I adhered the bow circle on top, creating a strong base for layering all the decorative elements.

The opposite ends of the branches were then attached directly to the hoop using glue dots, allowing everything to sit neatly and securely.

The banner was attached to the hoop using dimensionals, and the holly leaves were secured with Mini Glue Dots. To finish them off, I added red Traditional Sparkling Sequins to the holly—one in each size—for the perfect festive touch.

Christmas Swing Easel Card

On Friday’s Live with Michele I created the last of my study of Easel Cards—this one a Swing Easel Card—again featuring the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

The Swing Easel Card features a clever mechanism created with a combination of folds and precise cuts using your trimmer. When scoring and cutting, take extra care not to slice through the mechanism itself—as I’ve accidentally done more than once! I found it really helpful to lightly mark the sections that shouldn’t be cut before starting.

If you’d prefer a smaller swing section, simply widen the border when you make your cuts. This gives you greater control over the size and look of the finished card.
