Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop- December

Welcome to the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop!
We are a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators who love sharing our creative ideas with you. We’re so happy you’re joining us and hope to inspire you to create projects of your own. Each month, we feature different ideas based on products, themes, or creative challenges — so there’s always something new to enjoy!

Our challenge this month—set by me, Michele Jutrisa, is a ‘Christmas Challenge’ to create a Christmas Decoration for your tree. We hope this inspires you to get creative and craft a lovely decoration for your home or Christmas tree.

Traditions of Christmas

I have a tradition in my home where each year I add a new Christmas ornament to our tree. Last year it was a beautiful ornament my son and his girlfriend brought back from Amsterdam. Other years it has been something special I’ve found, been gifted, or created myself.
So for December, I decided our challenge simply had to be to create something special for your tree using Stampin’ Up!® products.

For my project, I chose to work with products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite, paired with the Large Gold Hoops and the All Seasons Velvet Specialty Paper.

How I Created..

Using the Christmas Greenery Dies, I cut pine branches from Gold Foil and Secret Sea cardstock, and holly leaves from the green velvet Specialty Paper. With the Traditional Label Dies, I cut three labels from Basic White cardstock and stacked them to create a thicker banner—the top piece stamped before layering.

To attach the bow and foliage to the hoop, I used two small circles cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. For one circle, I folded a bow shape (not knotted) and stapled it to the centre. For the second circle, I placed the hoop on top and added both large and mini dimensionals on either side to secure the hoop in place. Because of how I wanted the elements to sit, I positioned most of the circles on the inside of the hoop.
After removing the Dimensional backings, I adhered the bow circle on top, creating a strong base for layering all the decorative elements.

The opposite ends of the branches were then attached directly to the hoop using glue dots, allowing everything to sit neatly and securely.

The banner was attached to the hoop using dimensionals, and the holly leaves were secured with Mini Glue Dots. To finish them off, I added red Traditional Sparkling Sequins to the holly—one in each size—for the perfect festive touch.

Christmas Swing Easel Card

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On Friday’s Live with Michele I created the last of my study of Easel Cards—this one a Swing Easel Card—again featuring the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

The Swing Easel Card features a clever mechanism created with a combination of folds and precise cuts using your trimmer. When scoring and cutting, take extra care not to slice through the mechanism itself—as I’ve accidentally done more than once! I found it really helpful to lightly mark the sections that shouldn’t be cut before starting.

If you’d prefer a smaller swing section, simply widen the border when you make your cuts. This gives you greater control over the size and look of the finished card.

Diamond Easel Card

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On Friday’s Live with Michele I created another Easel Card—this time a Diamond Easel Card—again featuring the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

I’m so pleased with how this card turned out. Using the softer colours of Crumb Cake and Soft Sea Foam gives it such a delicate, elegant look.

This fold might look complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. It has lots of layered elements; you just need to pay attention to the direction of your Designer Series Paper prints—which I walk you through in the video.

This card is approximately 15.5 cm square, so you may need to create a custom envelope to fit it.

I based my measurements on a card by Teri Pocock that I found on Pinterest.

JOY Easel Card

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

Today I have another Easel Card to share with you, created with the beautiful Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

I’m really enjoying this paper pack—it’s so versatile and makes creating festive projects quick and easy. For this card, I wanted something simple but striking, so I used the Party Alphabet Dies to spell out the word JOY as my main focal point. The clean letters paired with the patterned paper give the card a fresh, modern look while still keeping that classic Christmas feel.

Easel Cards are always a favourite of mine because they stand so nicely on display, and this one came together so effortlessly with these products.

Window Easel Card

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On this week’s Live with Michele, I created a fun Window Easel Card using the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

This card design was inspired by a beautiful creation I saw on Instagram by Avee Renee. Her card featured a striking black background with white daisies — it was simply stunning! I loved the idea and decided to recreate it using products I already had in my craft stash.

The frame of my card was made using the Gallery Blooms Dies, and I adjusted the overall card size to suit the dimensions of the frame. For the top layer, I used the rich Green Velvet from the All Seasons Velvet Specialty Paper to give it a luxurious texture and finish.

Inside the window frame is a strip of Window Sheet, which acts as a base to attach your decorative elements. This gives the effect that your pieces are floating within the frame — a really fun technique that adds extra interest and depth to your design.

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – November

Welcome to the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop!
We are a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators who love sharing our creative ideas with you. We’re so happy you’re joining us and hope to inspire you to create projects of your own. Each month, we feature different ideas based on products, themes, or creative challenges — so there’s always something new to enjoy!

🎄 Challenge Theme: Christmas with a Twist!
Our challenge this month, created by Tracy Held, is to make a Christmas card using a non-Christmas product. It’s a fun way to stretch your creativity and see your supplies in a whole new light!

Beautiful Gallery

I ended up creating two cards for this hop as I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. So I decided to show both and let you work out which one you liked. Both cards use the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®

Card 1

For this card, I chose to take the Designer Series Paper right to the edge of the Basic Black card base for a bold, full-coverage look. The paper features dark images on a deep background, so to bring in more colour and contrast, I stamped over the trees using the ‘squiggle’ stamp from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set in Old Olive.

To finish the design, I created an Embellishment Cluster for the sentiment. The Holly leaves were die cut using the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder from All Seasons Velvet Specialty Paper. As the die only partially cuts, I fussy cut the connecting areas to separate the leaves. The bow, from the Christmas Greenery Dies, is also cut from the same velvet paper, adding soft texture and dimension. The sentiment comes from the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

Card 2

This card is a much simpler design. I used a piece of Designer Series Paper that looks like a charcoal drawing of a street lined with trees and houses — it has such a lovely sketch-like quality.

To create the card, I simply stamped “Merry Christmas” from the Jolly Holly Stamps in Real Red directly onto the paper. The panel was then trimmed down and matted with Real Red cardstock for a crisp border. To finish, I wrapped a length of Real Red Shiny Ribbon around the card front and tied another small piece into a simple knot for added texture and detail.

Two very different cards made using paper from the same Designer Series Paper pack — each with its own charm! Which one is your favourite? I love both, but I’m especially drawn to the simplicity and elegance of Card 2.

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop- October

We’re a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators who have joined forces to share our passion for papercraft and inspire creativity in your craft space.

Whether you’re a seasoned stamper or just starting out, we’re so glad you’re here—and we hope you’ll find fresh ideas and creative sparks to fuel your next project!

What to Expect

Each month, we explore a new creative theme or fun challenge, bringing you a variety of styles and techniques to try. There’s always something new to learn and love!

The challenge this month for the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop is by Maheswari by Stampin’ Up!®.

The challenge Guide: CASE One of these designs using the Mini Catalogue products and Share it in your version!

CASE-ing a Festive Card with the Traditions of Christmas Suite

The card I chose to CASE today is the bottom right design with the three teacups. I loved the clean and simple layout, so I decided to recreate it using the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®.

This is a simple card design where the Designer Series Paper (DSP) really does most of the work, with just a few die-cut images to add interest. The only stamping is the sentiment, created with the Traditional Labels stamp set and coordinating dies.

The card I decided to Case is the bottom right card with the 3 tea cups. I am using the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®.

This is a simple card, made using some Designer Series Paper and a few die cut images. The only stamping was the sentiment from the Traditional Labels with one of the coordinating dies.

Card Details

Card Base & Background
The Cherry Cobbler card base is completely covered with the Cherry Cobbler Dot DSP, running edge to edge. To break it up, I layered a strip of the Poinsettia DSP down the center.

Focal Point
For the poinsettia flower, you have two options: stamp and die cut, or simply cut the flower directly from the DSP. I chose the second option—it’s quick, easy, and still beautiful.

Leaves & Holly
The leaves were die cut from the two-tone cardstock in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. By flipping the cardstock and cutting from both sides, I was able to create variation in the tones of the holly leaves, giving extra depth and dimension.

Sentiment
The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder—a perfect match for the gold foiling that runs through the Poinsettia DSP. To finish, I die cut the sentiment with one of the coordinating Traditional Label Dies.

Festive Friends

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created this card using the Festive Friends Bundle by Stampin’ Up! ®.
