Window Easel Card

On this week’s Live with Michele, I created a fun Window Easel Card using the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

This card design was inspired by a beautiful creation I saw on Instagram by Avee Renee. Her card featured a striking black background with white daisies — it was simply stunning! I loved the idea and decided to recreate it using products I already had in my craft stash.

The frame of my card was made using the Gallery Blooms Dies, and I adjusted the overall card size to suit the dimensions of the frame. For the top layer, I used the rich Green Velvet from the All Seasons Velvet Specialty Paper to give it a luxurious texture and finish.

Inside the window frame is a strip of Window Sheet, which acts as a base to attach your decorative elements. This gives the effect that your pieces are floating within the frame — a really fun technique that adds extra interest and depth to your design.

Christmas Easel Card

On yesterday’s Live with Michele, I created this Easel Card using the Christmas Tags & More 6″ x 6″ Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®.

This paper pack includes 32 sheets — 8 each of 4 double-sided designs, plus 4 single-sided sheets of pre-cut designs (2 of each). These are perfect for creating card fronts, tags, and quick festive projects.

This Easel Card is one of the most basic styles, giving you all the fundamentals of how an easel card is created.

Nutcracker Tags – Simple, Fun & Festive

On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created Christmas Tags and a bonus card using the Nutcracker Tag Kit by Stampin’ Up! ®.

These Nutcracker Tags bring a happy smile to my face!

This tag kit is simple and fun to create — perfect for getting the whole family involved. There’s no stamping required, and everything you need comes right in the box. It’s a great project for crafters of all ages and abilities.

The card I created is just as easy, with only a few added extras. The Christmas Tags & More 6″ x 6″ Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper makes a great card front and coordinates beautifully with the Nutcracker designs.

You can use the sentiments that come with the tags or try something a little different with the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

On Display Bundle – Sneak Peek from the November Online Exclusives

On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’, I created this fun card using the On Display Bundle — a sneak peek of products coming in the November Online Exclusives by Stampin’ Up!®.

This was such a fun project to make, filled with lots of small stamps, dies, and detailed elements. The best part is deciding what to place in each section of the display cabinet — it’s like creating your own little showcase!

This bundle is also a great way to use up those leftover scraps of cardstock and Designer Series Paper you’ve been holding onto.

💡 Tip: Before die cutting, back your cardstock with Adhesive Sheets. It makes assembling all those tiny, fiddly pieces so much easier!

Modern Christmas -Pop-Up Card

On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created this card using the Modern Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!® — available now in the Online Exclusives section of my Online Store.

I absolutely love the black, white, and gold papers in this collection. One side of the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper features modern black and white designs, while the other side includes stunning gold foiling. Add a dramatic pop of bold colour to the black and white, and it truly makes your project shine! ✨

This particular card design was inspired by one I saw on Instagram, originally created by Sonja Mehl. I’ve adapted her measurements slightly to suit our standard card sizes.

    Traditions of Christmas Scrapbook Layout

    On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created this scrapbook layout using the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®.

    If you love these papers and would like some extra guidance in creating your layouts, Stampin’ Up! offers the Keeping Traditions Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. This kit includes step-by-step cutting and placement guides to create three double-page layouts with ease.

    The Designer Series Paper in the Workshop Kit follows the same design concept as the Suite Collection DSP, but with a few key differences: there’s no gold foiling and it also features a couple of specialty papers that are exclusive to the kit. Along with the papers, you’ll receive all the double-sided cardstock, stickers, and die cuts you need.

    If you prefer more flexibility, you can purchase just the Traditions of Christmas DSP with Sticker Sheet, which does include the gold foiling. So many beautiful options to choose from depending on your crafting style!

    Sketch I used…

    While browsing Pinterest, I came across a scrapbook sketch that I just had to try. After some searching, I traced it back to Allison Davis.blog, where she shares an amazing collection of free sketches. This particular design comes from Sketch Week #1| How to Use and Adapt Scrapbook Sketches | Day 1, and you can even download the sketch details directly from her site.

      Impressions Abloom -Watercolour

      “On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele,’ I created this card using a watercolouring technique with the Impressions Abloom Bundle by Stampin’ Up! ®.”

      The card design itself is very simple—white on white. I wanted to add just a touch of texture without introducing extra colour so that the watercoloured flowers and leaves remained the true highlight.

      I chose five colours: three for the flower petals, one for the centres, and a green for the leaves. I approached this as a practice session, preparing at least two sheets of watercolour paper for each colour and simply playing. To add interest, I experimented with techniques like sprinkling salt or flicking water to create different textures. Don’t be afraid to try new things—you never know what effects you might discover!

      Be sure to let the paper dry completely before die-cutting so you achieve clean cuts. Once you’ve cut the pieces you need, keep the leftovers—they’ll be perfect for future projects.

      Charming Day Water Colouring

      On yesterday’s ‘Live with Michele’ I created this card using the Charming Day Bundle from the Floral Charm Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®.

      It’s been a while since I last did any water colouring, and I’d forgotten just how much fun it is! I know a lot of people feel a little hesitant to give it a try, but honestly—it’s all about experimenting and playing. If you’re new to it, I recommend grabbing a simple, inexpensive pad of watercolour paper and just having a go. Test out different techniques, see how the colours move, and find what feels right for you.

      In the video below, you’ll see my favourite way to water colour and the effects I love to achieve. I’d love to know if you give it a try—let me know in the comments what technique you enjoyed most!

      Painterly Pears Z-Fold Card Part 3

      This is the third installment in our Z-Fold Card series. On Friday’s Live with Michele, I created this card using the Painterly Pears Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®.

      I first spotted this design on YouTube by Annette Green — a Unique Z-Fold — and adapted the measurements to suit standard envelopes for both US Letter and A4 sizes.

      What I love about this card is how unassuming it looks at first glance. But once you open it, the clever fold really showcases the stunning Designer Series Paper at its very best.
