Dandy Garden Suite – Dragonfly Garden

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

The card I have to share with you today is made using products from the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Suite. For this card I used the Dragonfly Garden Stamps, Dandy Laser-cut Paper and the Dandy Garden 6 x6″ Designer series Paper. All these products you will find on page 25 of the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!

Dragonfly Garden Stamps by Stampin' Up!

This is a simple card to make as the laser-cut paper does all the work for you. The dragonflies are so dainty and they look just like they were fluttering across your page. The sheet of vellum used as an overlay gives the impression that the dragonflies are in the back ground and allows the dragonfly on the sentiment to stand out with out hiding the others.

This tutorial was given to those that follow me through my Newsletter back in January. If you would like to receive my Newsletter plus the monthly Free Tutorial Click on the link below.

Dandy Garden by Stampin' Up!

All the stamped images were stamped in Blackberry Bliss and coloured using the Stampin’ Blends. Because the Stampin’ Pads are water based inks you can use them instead of the Memento Tuxedo Black and they won’t bleed.

The Blends colours used are –

  • Mossy Meadow -Light & Dark
  • So Saffron -Light
  • Daffodil Delight -Dark
  • Mango Melody -Light
  • Calypso Coral -Light & Dark

I used the NEW Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes to blend Smoky Slate and Blackberry Bliss ink around the edges of the Whisper White cardstock and on the sentiment piece as well.

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

My card today uses the Stampin’ Up! ® Enjoy the Moment Stamp Set from the 2021 Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue. This is not a stamp set I would have picked myself but as a demonstrator Stampin’ Up! ® gave us this set at our last On Stage Event (for Demo’s – one of the great perks you get when you Join.)

Enjoy the Moment by Stampin' Up!

I wanted these card to have a rustic earthy feel, so for one card I used green tones and the other yellows.

  • Die cut 2-3 leaves from the Old Olive Cardstock, separate the leaves from the stems.
  • Place a little bit of Multi-purpose glue to the stem end of the leaves and tuck them under the label. the other end is not glued down so they have a little bit of lift.

Well Suited – Happy Birthday

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

Today’s card is a simple Black, White and Gold card for you… I made this card using Handsomely Suited Stamp set from the Well Suited Suite and the Gilded Leafing Embellishment by Stampin’ Up!. This was my first play with it, keeping it really simple until i work it all out. What do you think?

Well Suited by Stampin' Up!

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the images using VersaMark. I placed the Bow Tie and the sentiment onto the Stamparatus and stamped, then moved the hinged plates down two spaces and stamped again.

Sprinkle the Heat & Stick Powder over the top, removed the excess and heat with the Heat Gun. Working quickly I dipped the card front into the Gilded Leafing and gentle pushed down. Working lightly with a piece of sponge gently brush off the excess Gilding Leaf. In areas that didn’t take with the Gilding I heated up with the Heat Gun again.

Two things to be careful of…

  • The Gilding Leaf comes in a jar, purchase a large plastic box to pour it into. You will need a box about the size of a card front or bigger and next time I may only empty half the jar not all of it…a little bit of this stuff goes a long way and there’s more in that jar than you think.
  • I found the sponge a little harsh, I’m going to get myself a Stippling brush and try. I found the Sponge was a little too harsh..you need to pounce the Gilding on. So it needs to be firm but then soft enough to bush away the excess Gilding.

Berry Blessings Stamps & Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

There is only a few weeks left of Sale-A-Bration…so be sure you don’t miss out!

The card I have made today is using the Berry Blessings Bundle and is found on page 14-15 of the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!. The stamp set – Berry Blessings has 13 Photopolymer stamps and is a two step stamp. Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper has 12 sheets of 12 x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5cm) paper, 2 of each of the 6 double sided designs.

You can earn this Level Two bundle when you spend $180.

Berry Blessings Stamps & Berry Delight Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!

This bundle co-ordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle found in the Stampin’ Up! 2021 Jan- Jun Mini Catalogue on page 44.

The colours in these Designer Series papers are very bright and fresh. To soften the DSP I added a layer of Vellum, this allowed the print of the berry to stand out from the plaid behind. The Berry DSP was die cut using one of the dies from the Ornate Layers. The stamped images were stamped onto one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
