Cute as a Bug – Cross Over Shutter Card

On Live with Michele, I created this fun fold card using the Cute as a Bug Suite Collection. It’s currently available in the Mini Catalogue—but only for a few more days!

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to find the official name for this fold… and came up empty. So I first called it a Crossover Shutter Card, then later thought maybe Twisted Shutter Card suited it better. Honestly, whatever you call it, it’s a fantastic fold! It looks quite intricate, but it’s actually really simple to put together.

I absolutely love these mushrooms—they’re so easy to cut and colour. To add a little extra detail, I used the new White Gel Pens, which are perfect for highlighting and adding texture. These will be available soon with the release of the May–August Catalogue.
