Have you ever had one of those nights that you just couldn’t sleep because you were thinking of all types of ideas and nothing really grabbed you…..well last night I did.
Every Tuesday morning I take a look at Global Design Project to see the winners and the Special Mentions and to see the NEW Challenge….and yesterday was no different.
The Theme for the Challenge is to do a card for a Male and as GDP put it …
“This week we have a theme challenge and it’s all about HIM (isn’t it tho! lol) – you can create for a baby, friend, brother, partner, husband, father, grandfather, son, teacher, coach”
Oh…and by the way HERE is the link so you too can go and check out the winners. There’s some really great cards.
Anyway back to me and my bad nights sleep…yesterday I checked out the theme to this week….” Male” cards. I have a house full of boys (as I am the only GIRL, even the cats a boy!)and I hate making “Boy/Male Cards”..WHY? Because I never know what to do…you’d think I’d have it worked out by now with 4 boys, a Husband and a cat…NOPE not me.
So by morning still no idea…..lets check out Pinterest see what the trends are…NOPE nothing is giving me any inspiration.
Oh well…Time for a coffee and to do my next favorite thing…have a look at Facebook and see what everyone is thinking about the world, their family, friends and what they had for dinner last night!
And while on Facebook there “POP’S” up this Advertisement for….gee I’m not really sure what it was for. Because all I saw was these pictures changing and one of them was a Brick Wall with these bright colours sprayed all over it….WOW! That’s it. That’s my card idea!
So…How did I create this card..
It was really very easy and I’m sure you can do it to.
- Using the Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste, Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Palette Knives I embossed the brick design onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
- Wait until the paste is dry before sponging on colour using sponges and Stampin’ Up! Stampin Pads….don’t rub the colour in as if your paste is thick you may rub it of..I pounced the colour on.
- With Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Thinlits Die I cut out 4 colours of the Happy Birthday and using Multi Purpose glue I glued them together off setting each one a little.
This is a simple card to make and if you are interested in making one yourself, then HERE is the link to my Stampin’ Up! Online Store.
Also below I have listed all the products I used to make this card and they too are link to my Stampin’ Up! Online Store.
