Hydrangea Hill – March Creativity Abounds Blog Hop

Welcome to Creativity Abounds Blog Hop. We are a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you.  We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own.

Today our Blog Hop is all about the beautiful Hydrangea Hill Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! I have really enjoyed paying with this amazing suite. the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper is a stand out on it’s own, with its lovely watercolour images of Hydrangeas.

For my card today I have used a all over patterned Designer Series Paper as my back ground and have stamped and coloured a Hydrangea Flower as my focal point. With both the flower head and leaves I have used two colours.

• Flower Head – Misty Moonlight & Highland Heather
• Leaves/Stems – Pear Pizzazz & Garden Green

To do this I inked up the stamp in the lightest colour and then using a sponge dauber sponged the darker colour around the edges and as in the flower head a little in the centers as well.

To help the tag stand out I tapped the edges into the Misty Moonlight Ink pad, being very careful to not smudge the ink.

The die cut Hydrangea is lifted with dimensionals off the Stitched Nested Label Dies.

The card is finished with a triple Linen Thread bow attached under the Hydrangea flower head.
