This is such a simple suite to use….if your not sure on how to colour the images. Then the Storybook Gnome DSP is already done for you and the dies that come in the Kindest Gnome Bundle will cut the Gnomes and Mushroom houses. It makes card making so quick and simple. But of course if you want to step it up…stamp the images onto Basic White cardstock and colour them in with you Blends.
For my card I kept it simple and die cut my DSP…see the video linked below.

On ‘Live with Michele’ this week I created a card using Stampin’ Up!® Trees for Sale Stamps (mini Catalogue) and Tree Lot Dies (Sale-A-Bration).
Sale-A-Bration finishes this week on Wednesday 31st August….and these dies will no longer be available.
They are so cute and great for building a scene. Here I have tried to create a scene on the beach at Christmas….a lot of families in Australia spend Christmas and Christmas holidays on beaches or near water, eating seafood and playing beach cricket.
Building scenes and telling stories with dies are so much fun.

If you enjoyed also enjoy making story scenes using Dies then come along to my Birthday Piggy Class in September.

Our theme for this month is any Christmas Bundle.
This card uses the dies from the Stampin’ Up! ® Frosted Gingerbread Bundle. I wanted to show how you can use a part of the bundle to create something very different from what the bundle was intended for. With the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle you can create Gingerbread cookies and Christmas Peppermints to decorate your projects.
For my card I have used the snowflake cookie shape dies which come in 2 parts, one to cut the shape of the cookie and the other die to cut the decorative top for the cookie shape.
I only used the decorative die from the snow flake to make the snowflakes for my card. Placing Adhesive sheets into the back of the Basic White cardstock and then die cutting allowed me to easily adhere the snowflakes onto the basic white cardstock card front.
After covering the card front with snowflakes I went over the card front with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Pad and Blending Brush creating an ombra effect.

The Casually Crafting Design Team is made up of a group of Independent Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators from around the word, that enjoy sharing our take on casual crafting. We’ll be sharing what we love with you every 3rd Saturday morning of each month on our websites.
Our There this month is – Sketch Challenge and this one was a real challenge…. what do I do, then this morning I was inspired by a card I saw on Instagram by Rochelle Blok. I think it was the black and white theme with the red in Santa, anyway it did the trick and my mental block was over….
So my card has a theme of Basic Black, Basic White and Real Red, with a touch of gold.
The stamp set or stamps I have used are –
Stampin’ Up! Be Jolly from the July – December Mini Catalogue

Strip Basic Black: 1.8 x 14.4cm
Sentiment Real Red: 2.5 x 7.5cm
Sentiment Basic White: 2.5 x 7cm

Card Insert Mat Real Red: 10 x 14.4cm
Card Insert Basic White: 9.7 x 14.1cm

Method-
Cut and score all cardstock
Adhere DSP to Read Red Card Mat
Adhere the Basic Black Strip 2.5cm from bottom of the DSP
Unravel the ribbon, so you are left with just the gold filament. Wrap this around the matted card front, adhering the ends at the back with sticky tape. spread the filament out across the Basic Black.
Card Insert
Adhere the Insert DSP Strip along the bottom edge of the Card Insert Basic White.
Stamp a sentiment onto the Basic White.
Adhere the Basic White insert to the Real Red Insert Mat.
Attach the Card insert into your card.
Embossed Sentiment – The sentiment has been stamped in Real Red Ink and heat embossed by following the steps below.
Ink up your stamp using Versamark ink, then ink it up in the Real Red. Stamp onto the Basic White Sentiment Strip.
Cover with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.
Using the Banners Pick a Punch cut the ends of both the Basic White and Real Red Sentiment pieces.
Adhere the two sentiment trips on top of each other and with dimensionals attach to the card front.
On a piece of Basic White stamp the Santa in Memento Tuxedo Black and colour in using Stampin’ Blends – See a previous video I did on colouring Santa HERE. Colours used – Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Ivory, Petal Pink
Fussy cut your Santa (this time I have left a edge around. and attach using dimensionals.

I love this card…it took a bit of work and it turned out so well!
I made this card using the Be Jolly Stamps found in the July- December 2021 Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!®
In 2016 I made a card for Global Design Project- Hey, Chick using the same layout. But instead of a chick stamped on an oval, Santa is fussy cut and sitting on a rectangle of vellum.
Below are all the cutting measurements plus the video showing how I Stamped, coloured and cut this card.
Measurements Used…
Card Base Garden Green – 10.5 x 29.9cm, score at 14.9cm
Card Front Mat Real Red- 10 x 14.4cm
Card Front crumb Cake- 10 x 14.9cm
Vellum Scrap- cut with Stitched Rectangle Die measured approx 3.5 x 8.7cm
Basic White Scrap to stamp Santa
Basic Black Scrap- smallest Taylor Made Tag Die
Card Insert Basic White- 10 x 14.4cm
