Painterly Pears, Horizontal Quadruple Z Fold

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

On Sunday, some friends and I got together on Zoom for a crafty play session with another Z-Fold card design. Taking inspiration from Susan Campfield, we created a Horizontal Quadruple Z-Fold. Since I’ve been using the Painterly Pears suite for my other Z-Fold cards, I decided to keep the theme going and feature it on this one as well.

How to make this card…

Tips:

  • Card bases- Cut 2 Card Bases and score. Use the second card base to cut the 4 strips at 2cm as required. This way you are sure of having 4 strips all scored the same.
  • Strips- Adhere the top and bottom first then adhere the 2 middle strips, spacing evenly.
  • Side Panels- Emboss with embossing folder. these will cover where the strips are attached to the card base.

Painterly Pears Triple Z-Fold Card – Part 2

Hi there, and welcome! Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or just a creative escape—I’m so happy you’ve stopped by.

On Friday’s ‘Live with Michele’, I created a Triple Z-Fold Card using the Painterly Pears Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®

Fruit-themed suites aren’t usually my first pick, but I’m absolutely loving the rich colours in this one! In fact, on this card, the pears almost fade into the background, allowing the vibrant hues and floral elements to take centre stage.

To continue exploring fun ways to use Z-Fold styles, I’ve taken it a step further and created a Triple Z-Fold Card—and I love how it turned out!

TIP: Below is a cutting diagram showing how I created the Secret Sea card bases from one sheet of cardstock. It works for both A4 and Letter-sized cardstock.
Each layer is scored into three sections—Left, Middle, and Right. The Middle sections must all be the same width to ensure your card folds flat. The Left and Right sections can be any width you choose, depending on your design.

Whether you’re a seasoned stamper or just starting out, we’re so glad you’re here—and we hope you’ll find fresh ideas and creative sparks to fuel your next project!

    What to Expect

Each month, we explore a new creative theme or fun challenge, bringing you a variety of styles and techniques to try. There’s always something new to learn and love!

    This month’s theme is:
    🎉 Masculine Birthday Cards 🎉
Hosted by the talented Monique, this challenge is all about celebrating the men in our lives with handcrafted cards that are bold, stylish, and thoughtful.

    Boho Vibes

For this month’s challenge, I decided to create a Masculine Birthday Card using the Boho Vibes Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®.

I had fun playing with a layered design—this card features two cards of different sizes, each opening in opposite directions and overlapping one another for a unique and interactive layout. The earthy tones and bold patterns from the Boho Vibes Suite made it perfect for a masculine look with plenty of style!

The simple black and white sentiment comes from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera pack.

The card was then finished of with a few white Matte Dots from the Neutral Matte Dots.

    Painterly Pears Z-Fold Card

    Hi there, and welcome!
Whether you’re here for inspiration, ideas, or simply a creative escape—I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.

On yesterday’s Live with Michele, I shared a card created with the Painterly Pears Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®. This is a truly stunning suite, with the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper taking centre stage.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be exploring different styles of Z-Fold cards, and I plan to use the Painterly Pears Suite Collection in each one. By the end, we’ll have a beautiful collection of coordinated projects—perfect to bundle up as a heartfelt gift!

The Painterly Pears stamp set features beautifully textured images that give a lovely three-dimensional effect. By blending a couple of ink colours, the pears come to life—so realistic, they almost look good enough to eat!

Be sure to check back each week to follow along and see what fold style we try next. And I’d love to hear from you—leave a comment and let me know your favourite card fold style!

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop- May

Welcome to Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own. Each month we will be showing different ideas based around products, themes and challenges.

Our theme this month for the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop is using the New ‘2025-2027 In-Color Challenge’ by Cheryl Hurst. I have also chosen to use a new Online Exclusives suite called Floral Impressions Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!®. Both the 2025-2027 In-Colors and the Floral Impressions Suite Collection will be available to order from the 6th May… not long now until you can order.

    Impressions Abloom

This Fun Fold Card is called ‘Tired Hexagon Pop Up Card, I saw this card one day flicking through my Facebook page. I researched the card and found a tutorial by Sam Calcott and just had to give it a go. I did adjust my measurements to suit the correct size for the C6 Envelopes.

It’s like a box of flowers you don’t need to water….

    How to make this card…

The Card Base was created with Cloud Cover Cardstock and the inside panels embossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. Each layer has a piece of Window Sheet to attach the diecuts.

The Dies from the Impressions Abloom Bundle works really well for this card. The flowers were all die cut in Basic White cardstock and was then coloured with Darling Duckling, Srawberry Slush and Timid Tiger Ink Pads with a blending brush.

The Flower Centers and leaves were all die cut from Secret Sea Cardstock….TIP: be very gentle separating the dies and Cardstock. The Leaf dies leave fine cut lines in the leaves which can easily ripe, if not careful.

The sentiment is also from a new Stamp Set – The Right Words, this set are pairings of sentiments for the front of cards as well as the card inserts.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my Blog. I hope you have enjoyed my projects & that you’re inspired to get crafty!

A Little Bit Festive Tee-Pee Card

This is a really great fun fold to use at Christmas, as the Tee Pee or Pyramid Card has the look of a Christmas Tree.

The A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper will be available to order in September when the 2024 Mini Sept – Jan Mini Catalogue is released. This paper pack is made of of 3 double sided Designer Series Papers and 3 sheets of Die Cuts.

     DSP1½ x 1½”, x 24 x 4, x 2
    Approx. 7cm circle Die CutBasic White3¼ x 3¼”8 x 8cm

I made this card a few years ago – Christmas Gleaming Tee Pee Card.

    Points to Remember

    • Check you DSP is going to look OK at an angel or what ever direction its in.
    • When making this card you need to make sure the embellishment don’t hang over too much at the sides so as it can fit into the envelope when folded in half.
    • Decorating – make sure you have the card front (one of 2 sides), triangle with the two points forming the baseline.
    • Measure up 2cm from where DSP meets in each direction. Cut a line across between the 2cm points.
    • Tuck point from other side into slit to hold card together. See image below

Chain Card Swap Blog Hop – Tracy

Back in October 2023 I joined a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators to take part in a ‘Card swap with a Twist – Chain card Swap.

    How does this work?

The swap is similar to an old fashioned chain letter or I would say…”Chinese Whispers with Cards’

    • We were given a list of names – 11 in total (not including myself)
    • Create a simple card
    • Send to first person on the list
    • Wait to receive a card from someone…
    • ‘CASE’ that card and send it to the 2nd person on your list
    • Repeat until all people on the list has received a card

Now this is the fun part….When you CASE the card you received, it’s your interpretation of the received card. Just like ‘Chinese Whispers’ you may not end up with what you originally designed

    Round 11 Stippled Roses

This fun fold card is a Twisted Fun Fold…which I had never done this fold until now.

For this card I used the Stippled Roses Bundle and the Stippled Roses Designer Series Paper which was available in the last Sale-A-Bration. The Stippled Roses Stamps Bundle is in the current Jan- April Mini Catalogue and will still be available in the up coming catalogue but not as a bundle. So get it now to get the 10% discount on bundles

Stippled Roses is a very traditional rose design and the leaf dies are stunning with the embossed details within the die. Other dies in this bundle are fine and delicate which I love using with other stamp and die sets.

The other sentiments in the stamps are a stunning ‘Script Fonts’ with a beautiful old world charm, they can be used for Mothers Day, Congratulations and Thank you.

Were to Start…Start this hop at Tracy so you get the progression

Follow the Hop around and see how these creations changed from start to finish…you might be surprised to see how these cards finished up!

I saw this card on Instagram a couple of weeks ago and decided to give it a try. The card made by Srusht is a large card format so I have reduced the measurements to fit with a standard card. I have made a few changes in using less DSP to suite what I was wanting to create.
