Over the last few weeks I have been doing Facebook Lives called Stamps, Paper & Ink #1. The first in the series has now been Up Loaded to YouTube.
Over the coming weeks we will continue to look at Stampin’ Up!® products and how best to use them. I hope you will find these videos helpful to you and share them with others.
Please remember I am new to FB Lives and I am still learning, they will get better as we go along.
Any questions about Catalogues and products please contact me.
Thank you for visiting my Blog today. Back in October I shared with you a card I made using the Pigment Sprinkles by Stampin’ Up! Not long after making the cards I went to my 40yr School Reunion and I took with me two little presents for my best friends. I very quickly took photo’s before packing them away in my bags.
Since then I have made a video also showing how I made these cards. So today I thought I would share these with you.
The gifts I gave my friends were these lovely Key Chains, each one matched the box perfectly.
Here is the video on how I made the cards. I hope you enjoy!
This week I have done nothing …well it seems like it!
I haven’t been able to Blog all week…why! Running around for the kids and for the husband as well…..and..
I have been working on “Photo Albums”……
Making the actual albums, using up discontinued Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers and chipboard and making them into albums..
I have made 2 this week.
The first one a simple album as this was the first I’d ever made and I had these photo’s I had taken from old photos my Dad had from when he and Mum were dating.
For this album I need a few sheets of DSP and cardstock…
Welcome to Butterflys and Bows and to Video Friday..
Today I thought I would share with you another video by Stampin’ Up! about another new product from their Annual Catalogue.
Embossing Paste
This looks like so much fun and is definitely going to be on my next order. Here are some beautiful cards found in the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalogue using the Embossing Paste.
In the background of each of these Cards you can see the texture created by using the Embossing Paste.
So what do you need to get stared….they can all be found on page 201 of your Catalogue or click on the pictures below to go directly to my store.
OH!….Don’t forget you may also want some re-inkers to colour the paste!
On Tuesday I was having my usual Facebook fix when I came upon this great card by Maria Willis.
I love the vibrant colours that she has used, it just brought this big smile across my face. I had to find out more about how Maria had achieved this card, so followed the links to here Blog –
“Cardbomb”. Please go and check it out….this one is now on my “Favorite Blogs” list…..
or here is the link http://cardbomb.blogspot.com.au/2017/06/creating-kindness-blog-hop-new-catalog.html
This card was created as part of a Blog Hop for Creating Kindness (around the world) International Design Team.
Maria says “If I had to describe my stamping style in one word… I think I would choose, “Techniques.” I absolutely love to experiment with Stampin’ Up! products and I love to try new techniques.”
Maria’s blog sounds like one I’m going to be visiting on a regular bases.
So I had to give this a try……
As you can see it was a bit messy….and Maria does say at one point that if you don’t want to spray everything with ink cover it up….I should have listened to that part. LOL….
I have ink everywhere including ME!
But it was so much fun …I kept on going…I think I ended up with about 8 pieces…some good and some are just ready for the bin.
BUT…don’t be too quick to throw in the trash as once its dry and when you trim down ..you may end up with something pretty amazing.
The card stock used is the NEW Glossy White Cardstock 144241 and I cut the sheet into quarters.
To get the beautiful, bright and vibrant colours on the Glossy White Cardstock, Maria mixed rubbing alcohol with Stampin’ Up! Ink refills. This also gave some wonderful blending effects as well.
Maria goes through a couple of different techniques and I’m sure like me you can’t wait to get hold of some Rubbing Alcohol and have a go yourself..
Well here’s how my card turned out…
I think it looks good …don’t you?
So here’s the video…enjoy, can’t wait to see what you end up with.

Today I wanted to share with you another NEW product that Stampin’ Up! have released in the new Catalogue and that is their planner.
It comes in a Kit form so you can put it together in the configuration that works best for you.
As you can see there is a lot in the Kit
This planner really excited me when I first heard about it because not only is it beautiful, its easy to use and I knew I could get a lot of use from it. I love the month at a glance as I can see quickly what I have planned and then the week on a two page spread allows me to break it all down to tasks. All my tasks I have colour coded for example if its written in Purple then I know its a business task, if in red then a personal task. This allows me to see at a glace what I have planed for my day.
You could also use your planner to make notes about activities/holidays etc to use in your Memory Keeping Albums – Stampin’ Up! Memories and More.
All the pages are a good quality paper so you can even stamp on them and the planner comes with stickers to decorate your pages or highlight events. There are also Pocket pages to add photos, post it notes to add those extra notes on and 2 pocket sleeves to add shopping list or cards to be sent…..there is so much in this planner
I’m sure you will love it…..Here is a video to tell you more about this fantastic product.
If you are interested in ordering one of these Planners for yourself go to my Store HERE
Guess what you can also purchase a Refill Kit that has everything in it except the binder
Have FUN Planning your new Planner

Here in Australia we also have school holidays at the moment and over Easter my boys and I (my husband had to stay home because of work), traveled to Mudgee to visit my parents. My father turned 80 last February and we hadn’t had a chance as yet to celebrate.
It was a lovely day, lunch at a beautiful Winery with family and friends to help celebrate.
