‘Peace’ what a beautiful word…

Between all men
of mind
living a grateful life

The word peace means so much to so many people, what does it mean to you?

Coming up to Christmas I know I am looking for the ‘Peace of knowing about what the birth of Christ means’.

My card today is a simple fun fold card using the Peace and Joy Bundle 155167 along with the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper 153492 .

The Real Red card base measures 10.5cm x 22.7cm, scored at 14.9cm.
The Pear Pizzazz card measures 8 x 25cm, scored at 12.5 cm

I have also used the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper as a liner in the envelope by using the Envelopes Dies 153531.

Joy to the World

Joy to the World

This is heading into my favorite time of the year…Where we celebrate the Birth of Christ and what JOY that brings of Salvation and Hope.

My card today I have used products from the Peace and Joy Bundle 155167. This card is a slim line card, the finished card measures 10 x 21 cm (cut 20 x21cm, score 10cm). This is a simple card to make with the only stamping on the label.

Here I used a Label die from the Stitched Nested Labels as the base for sentiment to sit on. The sentiment is ‘Joy – to the World’ and for the ‘Joy’ I used all the 3 dies from the Bundle. The beautiful Red Velvet Paper was used for the fine word die and I used the Adhesive Sheets on the back of the Red Velvet and the Whisper White die cut – to make adhering them together a breeze.

TIP – Once you have adhered all the 3 parts of ‘Joy” together place it onto of the Whisper White Label and lightly trace around it. This way you have an idea where you need to stamp. Shown here from another project made using the same Dies. The pencil line then can be rubbed away using a soft eraser.

Christmas Gleaming Tee-Pee Card

Christmas Gleaming Tee-Pee Card

For years I have looked at this style of card and have wanted to make one…Yay! Now I have done it….what do you think?

For this card I have used some of the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle 156082 that is a returning product in the Aug-Jan 2020 Mini Catalogue. Oh…and not forgetting the Punches that is included in the Bundle

This card when folded flat will fit into our Australian Std C6 envelope.

The challenging thing when making this card was making and attaching the embellishments to the front of this card. You need to make sure that when you fold the card flat that the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment goes to the left and not to the right hand side fold line. It is also easier to put your embellishments onto the card when it is folded into the Tee-Pee.

For today’s card I have used Stampin’ Up! ® Prized Peony stamps to create this ‘Simple & Quick’ card.

This card uses two different techniques of masking – blocking or covering an area to colour or stamp multiple images.

Technique 1 – Placing a mask with a Cut out circle to create a sponged area of colour

Technique 2 – Create a mask of the flower to stamp multiple leaf images

All Things Fabulous

My card today features Stampin’ Up! All Things Fabulous Bundle 154112…..I love how this card turned out…What do you think?

I love the stark contrast between the Basic Black and the other colours, the black just makes everything ‘POP’.

All Things Fabulous is a ‘Two Step’ stamp, I have used this Bundle previously to see the post Click …HERE.

For this card I stamped the images onto the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper 149612 and only used Magenta Madness Stampin’ Pad 153117 for the flower and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Pad 147095 for the leaves. By using the watercolour paper I was able to give the flower and leaves a watercolour look using the Water Painter 151298.

How did I do this….

The flowers have 3 parts, I used – 1A- the larger petals, 1B – medium size inner highlights and 1C – the smaller inner highlights.

Ink up 1A with Magenta Madness – stamp off twice onto a piece of scrap paper, giving you the lightest shade. Then stamp onto the watercolour paper.
Ink up 1B with Magenta Madness – stamp off once and the line up over the previously stamped image and stamp.
Ink up 1C with Magenta Madness – NO STAMPING OFF..line up image again and stamp.

This will give you a flower all in the same colour but with different shades.

Then using a fine tipped Water Painter, filed with water. Go over the flower image allowing the colours to blend and bleed a little around the edges for that water colour look. I ever so slightly took the colour out a little around the edges as I didn’t want a white boarder around the images.
The leaves are just one stamp and I just stamped then went over with the Water Brush as above.

Have you tried the NEW Stampin’ Up! ® Cut and Emboss Machine149653……

WOW, it’s amazing. The lace die cut just cut out so smoothly and the finish on it is stunning. This machine is so worth the investment of $209..Before cutting the Whisper White Cardstock I added a Adhesive Sheet 152334, this makes adding it to your card so simple.
The Basic Black mat I used the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder 151775 to give the card front some texture rather than a flat black surface.
Sentiment was stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Joyful Holly & Toile Tidings

Joyful Holly & Toile Tidings

I’m still playing with Joyful Holly 153440. The simplicity of this stamp set allows it’s self to blend with other products. Stampin’ Up! ® have this year brought back some of the popular products from last years Holiday Catalogue. One of those products is the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP) 150432 and they have teamed it up with the Joyful Holly in this years 2020 August – January Mini Catalogue. I like this DSP last year but I did not purchase it…so this year I have.

So my card today is based on the Toile Tidings with some stamped images from the Joyful Holly.

The Toile Tidings DSP comes in 2 colours – Real Red and Very Vanilla or Garden Green and Very Vanilla. For this card I have used combinations of both colours to add contrast. I have also added mats under the two layers to give a slight break between patterns.

My card today uses the Joyful Holly Stamp 153440 set from Stampin’ Up! ® 2020 August – January Mini Catalogue.

This is one of those sets that maybe you might think twice before buying. I think its one of those great sets that are hidden gems.

This is a ‘Two- Step’ stamp set, this means you have 2 or more stamps to complete the image. When stamping with Two-Step stamps I recommend you use the Stamparatus 148187. The Stamparatus ensures flawless alignment and helps you make quick multiples.

The colours I have used in this card are Just Jade, Coastal Cabana and Poppy Parade.
