Hello – Forever Greenery

Good Morning,

so glad you could stop by and have a look at my card today…

Hello -Forever Greenery

A few days ago I shared with you a card I made, made in the same way as this one except it was a landscape card. This time I have turned it around and made as a portrait card. I have still used all the products from the Forever Greenery Suite but for the first time I have used one of the embossing folders – Greenery Embossing Folders. They come in a pack of 2 different folders. Both a perfect size for the Mini Stampin’ Cut Embossing Machine, which will be released later in the year.

A Sweet Friendship – Forever Greenery Suite

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

A Sweet Friendship

I love this card, it is so simple, sweet and clean.

There is something about a white card and with that strip of green leaves on the white background makes it refreshing.

This is a simple card to make and with just a sentiment to stamp. The only colour comes from a strip of Designer Series Paper which is 3.5cm wide, a great way to use up any left overs.

A Gold Hoop Embellishment layered with a Vellum leaf cut using the Forever Flourishing Dies and a Gold leaf from the Forever Gold Laser -cut Specialty Paper.

The whisper White mat has been embossed using the Sutbles 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Wishes Cling Stamps, a sentiment for any occasion.

You will find a Tutorial on my Tutorial Page for this card

Sunflower Shaker Card

Beautiful bright Sunflowers…I don’t know what it is about Sunflowers but they always seem to bring joy to peoples faces.

Helen Keller said….

My card to day uses the Sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers Bundle. The flowers were stamped in Memento Ink and coloured using Blends. .The stems of the flowers were stamped in Memento Ink and were also stamped off just to mute the colour so the looked like they were in water. The Mason jar was stamped in Pool Party Ink and then using the reverse side (because they are a reversible stamp) I also used Pool Party Ink but stamped off to give a lighter shade

In the Mason Jar Dome I added some of the Flower for Every Season Gems.

Sending Healing Hugs – Forever Greenery

My love affair with the Forever Greenery Suite continues…

The Scrappy Strip Technique is a great way to great fantastic backgrounds with lots of interest. Here I have created a back ground using this technique with the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.

I kept the strips narrow, approx 12mm, that way I could use nearly all the designs. The strips were adhered to Whisper White Cardstock and also matted onto Whisper White Cardstock.

By placing a layer of vellum on top of the Scrappy Strips it softened the intensity of the colour and allowed the bouquet of fern leaves to stand out. Using the Forever Flourishing Dies leaves were cut from Just Jade, Pretty Peacock and vellum cardstock, also included gold leaves from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper

All the products I used are in today’s card are listed below and are link to my On-Line Store for your easy shopping experience.

July International Blog Highlights – Thank You

Hi and welcome to my Blog.

My card today use’s the Stampin’ Up! Ā®  Prized Peony stamps from the Peony Garden Suite Collection. This is the first time I have had to play with this beautiful suite.

Prized Peony

The large Peony flower was stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock along with the sentiment using the Memento Black stamp pad. With the Stitched Rectangle Dies I die cut a section of the flower including the sentiment and then coloured the cut section with Blends – Flirty Flamingo, Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Mango Melody.

I then ran the card front through the Subtle 3D Embossing folder together. This card has been layered with the center rectangle sitting above the rest of the card.

For inside of the card I stamped a smaller Peony also in black on the insert and then matted it onto Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

I have added my card to Kylie Bertucci’s International Stampin’ Up!Ā® Blog Highlights for July Theme- Thank you.

To a friend that makes me smile – Flowers for all Seasons

I love it when a card design comes together so well and this card was one of them. This card is a simple Z-Fold card and the ‘Flowers for Every Season’ Designer Series Paper (DSP) made it very quick to put together.  Along with the floral I also used one of the Just Jade designs from the 2020-22 In-Colour DSP.

The words on this DSP are the words of Stampin’ Up! Ā® Statement of the Heart, in English and other languages.

The sentiment and flowers inside the card were stamped in Memento Black and left un-coloured, with just a hint of colour down the edge of the Just Jade DSP. The sentiment was cut our using a circle and scalloped circle from the Layered Circle Dies.

To make the sentiment ‘Pop’ I added a piece of the new In-Colour 1/4 ” Ribbon in Bumble Bee.

You can find a tutorial for this card on my Tutorial Page in the bar above.

Love & Laughter, Forever After

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

The card that I made today has very little stamping letting the Stampin’ Up! Ā® Designer Series Paper ‘Forever Greenery’ show off all its beauty.

This is a easy to make fun fold card…the front panel lifts up so you can write your message inside. Great for those that don’t need a lot of space to write.

How I made this card

  •  Card Base Pretty Peacock.- 10.5 x 14.9cm
  • Mat Designer Series Paper – 10.2 x 14.6cm, adhere to card base
  • Front Panel Pretty Peacock – 9 x 21cm, score at 10.5cm
  • Front Panel Designer Series Paper – 10.2 x 8.7 cm, adhere to front panel
  • Attach Front panel to card base
  • Card Insert Whisper White – 10.2 x 8.7 cm
  • Adhere gold leaf from the Forever Green Laser -cut Specialty Paper
  • Desiner Series Paper Strip – 1.2 x 8.7cm, attach to the bottom of Whisper White Insert
  • Adhere the insert to the inside of the Front Panel

Card Front Embellishment

For this you will need..

  •  One of the Forever Gold Laser-cut dies.
  • Using the Forever Flourishing Dies I cut 2 fern leaves from Vellum Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock 25mm x 11cm

These are the steps that I used..

  • So that the  laser-cut panel could fit behind the Sentiment Banner, I trim it down as per the picture below. Cut approx 1.5cm from where the leaves meet the center hexagon on both sides. Over lap what is left of the hexagon so that the center part is approx 2cm wide and adhere together

  •  Attached the fern leaves to the back of the Gold laser-cut piece.

  • Add some Multi Purpose Glue to the back and adhere to the front of your card.
  • Stamp sentiment onto the Whisper White Cardstock in VersaMark, cover in Gold Embossing Powder and heat…until the magic happens, it changes to a glossy finish.
  • Using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, punch the ends…it can be longer than the width of the center panel.
  • Attach to card front using dimensionals.

Set Sail

Good Morning and Welcome today to my Blog.

It’s a beautiful morning here in Moss Vale, NSW. A lovely winters day…

In the last couple of day’s I have been working with a new stamp from Stampin’ Up! Ā® called Camouflage152547  and teamed it up with Sailing Home 149457.

When I saw this I new I had to get it and make a card for my son, who is in the Australian Defence Force. Not often do I find something that suits him compared to my other sons. This card is nearly all in gray as the Navy camo colours are gray with some black in it. Instead of using black I have used Night of Navy and a touch of gold because he is an Officer. So I hope he likes this card…its not a birthday or for anything special event.I just want to write him so he knows he is always in our thoughts.

Set Sail

This card has a lot of texture using the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder, torn and inked edges,  layers of die cuts from the Smooth Sailing Dies and the Stitched Shapes -Oval.

How to Stamp these Images..

When stamping this card I used the Stamparatus – Stampin’ Up! Ā® positioning tool as it allowed me to stamp this image a few times.

*Hint – before using the stamp clean it a couple of times with the Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist. Being a large all over stamp I found I was getting a good clean image. Sometimes residue from the manufacturing can still be on the stamp and the small bush bristles on the Stampin’ Scrub can get in a clean them off.

The Stamparatus also enables you to stamp multiple images going down the page because of there hinged system. I had to play with NO INK to make sure I had the stamp in the correct position, when I had that sorted I could move the plate down two hinge notches and re-stamp having everything lined up just right.

The Stamparatus is one of those MUST HAVE tools.
