Black and White Challenge

Good morning, I hope you are keep warm, on this wonderful Winters day.

Thank you for joining me on my blog to day where we will look at another Challenge I did last Saturday.

Black and White Challenge

Use only Black and White…no other colour!

It didn’t have to be a card…it could be anything I want…What would you make?

Painted Poppies

I made a card…Again I kept it simple and used the Painted Poppies Stamps.

For this card I stamped the poppy image with VersaMark onto the Basic Black. The VersaMark was hard to see on the Basic Black so I stamped and heat embossed half the card at a time using the White Embossing Powder.

The Whisper White panel across the middle of the card i cut using one of the rectangle dies from the Ornate Layers Dies. I trimmed the side edges of as it was too long for the width of the card front. The bed of Poppies where stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed using Black Embossing Powder.

To finish the card I wrapped Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon around the Whisper White Cardstock and tied off with a knot, cutting the ends at a angle. A simple way to finish your ribbon instead of tying a bow or if your length of ribbon is too short for a bow.

Happy Birthday – Peony Garden

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

Happy Birthday

‘Love it, Chop it’….#loveitchopit

What is ‘Love it, Chop it’? Instead of hoarding our beautiful Stampin’ Up! ® Designer Series Paper (DSP), Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator Kylie Bertucci encourages us to love our papers by cutting it into usable pieces and use it on our cards. You can make lots of card fronts by cutting your DSP into 10 x 14.4 cm pieces. Out of one sheet of DSP you will get 6 card fronts.

You are more likely to use your beautiful papers when in smaller pieces.

Make this DSP your own by colouring it in…Colouring is also good for your well being, so relaxing.

For this card I have used my Stampin’ Blends in Mint Macaron to colour in the back ground.

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

Casing the Catalogue

Are you looking for inspiration, not sure where to start?

Stampin’ Up! ® have given us a beautiful Catalogue full of products for us to drool over and purchase…but they have also given us a catalogue full of inspiration. Cards/ layout ideas, colour combinations and tips and tricks, there is so much in there. Grab another coffee and have another look.

Flowers for Every Season

The card I have made today comes from page 10 of the Annual Catalogue. Where  have Cased the Flowers for Every Season card.

I have changed mine a little that’s because I don’t have all the Blends as yet. Also I couldn’t find my Twine…it’s here somewhere in my messy workroom. The ‘Love You’ on their card comes from one of the Memories and More Cards, which they have cut up. For mine I used the Well Said Stamp Set and heat embossed onto Shaded Spruce cardstock to match the colours I used in my flowers.

So glad your Catalogue have another look and see what you can Case…Have Fun!

All Things Fabulous

Good morning on this beautiful Saturday Morning, it’s a little bit chilly out side but still very beautiful.

Last night I made this card and didn’t get a chance to blog about it…so this will be my card for today and then it’s back to work sewing.

All Things Fabulous by Stampin’ Up!®

WOW…WOW…This is such a beautiful stamp set and I love the sentiments in this set.

All Things Fabulous is a ‘Two-step Stamp’…..What is a Two-Step Stamp?

Two- step stamp is where you have more than one image or stamp to build a complete image.

To create blossoms with Two-Step Stampin’, stamp the largest image in the lightest colour of ink. Then stamp the detailed images in progressively darker colours. The stamps are ‘Photopolymer’ which allows you to see through the stamp to line them up.

This stamp set comes as a Bundle – All Things Fabulous Bundle 154112. All Bundles are discounted by 10%. If you purchase All Things Fabulous Bundle in July and add another $10 of product to your order and you will also receive a a Coupon for $9 to spend in August.

The  background on my card was created by sponging over one of the lattice panels from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Happy Birthday – The Spot Colour Challenge # 119

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

Who loves a Challenge?……I do!

Now if you enjoy a challenge here is the link so you can participate as well..‘The Spot’

Happy Birthday

I’m have been doing a bit of #Loveitchopit lately….using up some of my collections of Designer Series Paper. The challenge said I could use Whisper White but “Sparingly”…hope I haven’t used too much. But I love the Gold Flowers on Whisper White base…it’s so clean and fresh. What do you think?

This Designer Series Paper comes from Stampin’ Up! ® Ornate Gardens Suite Collection 154153 and is called Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper 152488. The Magenta Madness cardstock I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder 152725, a beautiful little floral. I also embossed the Pool Party Cardstock using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder151775.

The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set 151534 and was stamped using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today…I’m not usually into geometric shapes, but by adding some floral…I’m happy….Hubby loves it….LOL!

Prized Garden

My cards today uses the Stampin’ Up! ® Prized Garden Suite Collection, the ‘WOW’ of this card is the amazing 3D blossom.

I have added an extra layer in my Peony by adding a layer of vellum to each petal. Each layer was sponged lightly with Blushing Bride Stampin’ Pad and shaped with a bone folder. Each petal has that extra shimmer with a touch of Wink of Stella. The ribbon loops were made by cutting 10cm of ribbon, folding them in half and joining with a Mini Glue Dot.

To assemble the Peony

  • Cut all 5 layers of the Peony – I have numbered each one 1through to 4, not including the stamen.
  • Starting with the smallest petal, slip petal 1 into the slit of petal 2 – lining up the bottom edges. Add a small amount of glue at the base of each petal.
  • Slip petals 1&2 into petal 3 – lining up the bottom edges.
  • Slip petal 1, 2 & 3 into 4
  • Once the flower has been assembled slip the stamen into place in the 1st petal.

Bonus Days…..

For every $90 AUD you spend in July will earn you a Coupon for $9 to spend in August…The Peony Garden Suite Collection is $170.50 AUD add another $10 to that and you will get 2 x $9 coupons…..
