To a friend that makes me smile – Flowers for all Seasons

I love it when a card design comes together so well and this card was one of them. This card is a simple Z-Fold card and the ‘Flowers for Every Season’ Designer Series Paper (DSP) made it very quick to put together.  Along with the floral I also used one of the Just Jade designs from the 2020-22 In-Colour DSP.

The words on this DSP are the words of Stampin’ Up! ® Statement of the Heart, in English and other languages.

The sentiment and flowers inside the card were stamped in Memento Black and left un-coloured, with just a hint of colour down the edge of the Just Jade DSP. The sentiment was cut our using a circle and scalloped circle from the Layered Circle Dies.

To make the sentiment ‘Pop’ I added a piece of the new In-Colour 1/4 ” Ribbon in Bumble Bee.

You can find a tutorial for this card on my Tutorial Page in the bar above.

Love & Laughter, Forever After

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

The card that I made today has very little stamping letting the Stampin’ Up! ® Designer Series Paper ‘Forever Greenery’ show off all its beauty.

This is a easy to make fun fold card…the front panel lifts up so you can write your message inside. Great for those that don’t need a lot of space to write.

How I made this card

  •  Card Base Pretty Peacock.- 10.5 x 14.9cm
  • Mat Designer Series Paper – 10.2 x 14.6cm, adhere to card base
  • Front Panel Pretty Peacock – 9 x 21cm, score at 10.5cm
  • Front Panel Designer Series Paper – 10.2 x 8.7 cm, adhere to front panel
  • Attach Front panel to card base
  • Card Insert Whisper White – 10.2 x 8.7 cm
  • Adhere gold leaf from the Forever Green Laser -cut Specialty Paper
  • Desiner Series Paper Strip – 1.2 x 8.7cm, attach to the bottom of Whisper White Insert
  • Adhere the insert to the inside of the Front Panel

Card Front Embellishment

For this you will need..

  •  One of the Forever Gold Laser-cut dies.
  • Using the Forever Flourishing Dies I cut 2 fern leaves from Vellum Cardstock
  • Whisper White Cardstock 25mm x 11cm

These are the steps that I used..

  • So that the  laser-cut panel could fit behind the Sentiment Banner, I trim it down as per the picture below. Cut approx 1.5cm from where the leaves meet the center hexagon on both sides. Over lap what is left of the hexagon so that the center part is approx 2cm wide and adhere together

  •  Attached the fern leaves to the back of the Gold laser-cut piece.

  • Add some Multi Purpose Glue to the back and adhere to the front of your card.
  • Stamp sentiment onto the Whisper White Cardstock in VersaMark, cover in Gold Embossing Powder and heat…until the magic happens, it changes to a glossy finish.
  • Using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, punch the ends…it can be longer than the width of the center panel.
  • Attach to card front using dimensionals.

Set Sail

Good Morning and Welcome today to my Blog.

It’s a beautiful morning here in Moss Vale, NSW. A lovely winters day…

In the last couple of day’s I have been working with a new stamp from Stampin’ Up! ® called Camouflage152547  and teamed it up with Sailing Home 149457.

When I saw this I new I had to get it and make a card for my son, who is in the Australian Defence Force. Not often do I find something that suits him compared to my other sons. This card is nearly all in gray as the Navy camo colours are gray with some black in it. Instead of using black I have used Night of Navy and a touch of gold because he is an Officer. So I hope he likes this card…its not a birthday or for anything special event.I just want to write him so he knows he is always in our thoughts.

Set Sail

This card has a lot of texture using the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder, torn and inked edges,  layers of die cuts from the Smooth Sailing Dies and the Stitched Shapes -Oval.

How to Stamp these Images..

When stamping this card I used the Stamparatus – Stampin’ Up! ® positioning tool as it allowed me to stamp this image a few times.

*Hint – before using the stamp clean it a couple of times with the Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist. Being a large all over stamp I found I was getting a good clean image. Sometimes residue from the manufacturing can still be on the stamp and the small bush bristles on the Stampin’ Scrub can get in a clean them off.

The Stamparatus also enables you to stamp multiple images going down the page because of there hinged system. I had to play with NO INK to make sure I had the stamp in the correct position, when I had that sorted I could move the plate down two hinge notches and re-stamp having everything lined up just right.

The Stamparatus is one of those MUST HAVE tools.

Still in My Heart

Hi and welcome today to my Blog.

At the moment I’m sitting in my workroom, heater is on and it’s lovely and warm. My computer tells me it’s about 10 degrees but I’m sure the real feel is colder than that. Wondering if this winter will bring snow….LOL I hope for snow every winter, it’s been a few years since we had some…fingers crossed.

Still in My Heart

Today’s card is a simple card to make…Stampin’ Up!® have done most of the work for us.

Here I have used the stunning and elegant Forever Gold Die-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper. I have used one of the panels on my card front and anything else you put with it needs only to be simple.

This card is made up of layers. Framing the gold panels is a double mat and the mats are only millimeters different in size. The mats have been lifted of the card base with dimensionals and the sentiment lifted again.

The sentiment and the punch used on the banner comes from the Lovely You Bundle. I love the mix of the 2 font styles…What do you think?

You must have a look at the Lovely Ladels Pick A Punch…It’s 6 punches all rolled into one….There are 2 different styles and each style cuts 3 different sizes…each size being a little different as the tag gets wider.

You can use the just one single or layer them on top of one another…you can make your label as long or as short as you want.

Until the end of June you could sign up with Stampin’ Up! ® and chose the Lovely You Bundle as your Free Bundle.

Poppy Moments See Through Card

Hi and welcome to my Blog today.

This week I have been working a special for a very special person, my Mother as her birthday is not far away.

Poppy Moments See Through Card

For this card I have used the products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite found in the Stampin’ Up! ® Mini Catalogue.

I have ‘CASED’ this card from Jennifer McGuire. She has a wonderful video showing how to make a this card.

In making this card I have made a couple of changes from the products Jennifer used.

  • I have used products from the Stampin’ Up! ® 2020 Mini Catalogue – Poppy Moments Dies
  •  This card is a three fold card and by having the fold to the side instead of the top I was able to make the card base with only the join to card front.

This card was not a hard card to make but I did have to play with it to get the layout of flowers and leaves the way I wanted it.

Jennifer suggests to use ‘Glad Press’n Seal’, glad I had this in my stash as it would have taken a lot longer with out it. When removing it, take it very slow and gently so not to damage the die cuts.

Breathtaking Bouquet – Water Colour

Welcome to my Blog, I hope you enjoy reading today’s project.

Breathtaking Bouquet

Breathtaking Bouquet is one of the many products from Stampin Up!  ® Mini Catalogue that soon will be leaving us. I have enjoyed working with this stamp and have made a few beautiful cards from it.This stamp makes a wonderful back ground stamp or you can colour it with Pigment Sprinkles, Water Colour Pencils or with the Stampin’ Pads & Aqua Painters, as I have done with this project.

With the one Stamped and water coloured image I created three cards.

How did I make this card…

  • Using the Stamparatus® stamp the Breathtaking Bouquet in VersaMark.
  • Cover with Embossing powder and set with a Heat Gun.
  • Colour the bouquet using the Stampin’ Pads with Aqua painters
  • Using the Soft Sea Foam and a sponge, sponge lightly over the watercolour paper around the edges and in between the flowers to give the back ground a Soft sea Foam hue.

  • Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut the painted imaged into 3 sections

  • Cut and fold card bases(measurements above)
  • 3 Emboss mats with Embossing folders – I used either of the 2 folders for each of the mats.
  • Adhere the mats to card base with Multi Purpose Glue on all three cards
  • Wrap White Bakers twine around the 3 images, attach Tassel and tie into a bow.
  • Attach dimensionals to back of the images and adhere to card fronts.
  • Slightly bend each of the 3 leaves on each leaf. Using Multi Purpose glue on steams of the leaves tuck them under the images where the Tassels are.
  • Add three Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets to each card.
