Frames and Flowers Scrapbook Page

Here I have created a scrapbook page using photos from when my sister was visiting from UK.

The Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!®. You can find this product on page 29 i the 2024 -25 Annual Catalogue. ( 6 sheets of pattern paper: 1 each of 3 double-sided designs and 1 each of 3 single-sided die cut designs.

I used the Mediterranean Blooms Stamp set to add texture to the Lost Lagoon cardstock.

The use of the die cuts made creating this layout very simple to decorate.

Journalling

The journalling I created using Publisher and a word box to fit in the area I wanted to fill. I used ‘Bullet Journalling’, where I used points such as when, where and who.

Playing in the Rain

Our theme this month for the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop is a ‘Mystery Challenge’ by Tracy and I am using the Play in the Rain Stamps and coordinating Play in the Rain Dies by Stampin’ Up!®.

How to make this card…

  • Piece 2, I incorrectly cut slightly wider at 2cm instead of 1.5cm.
  • Pieces 1, 2 & 3 were embossed using the Fun Patterns embossing Folder. Laying all pieces next to each other and then emboss so the pattern runs across at the same level. You could also just cut one piece at 6.5 x 14.9cm and cut into strips after embossing.
  • Piece 5 is also embossed with Fun Patterns Embossing Folder and then matted with piece 4.
  • Sentiment – is from the Country Birdhouse Stamps.
  • Flowers and Leaves I had left over from another project and the colours worked in well. These were cut from the Country Birdhouse Dies.
  • Rabbit was coloured with Watercolour pencils and blended with the Colour Lifter from the Stampin’ Up! Blends.
    • Colours used are Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Blue, Balmy Blue, Crused Curry, Early Espresso, Fresh Freesia & Melon Mambo.

Frosted Forest Bundle

I have just received Frosted Forest Bundle in my Stampin’ Up! ® delivery, so I thought today would be a good time to pull it out and use it. This bundle includes Frosted Forest Stamp Set, Frosted Forest Dies and Frosted Forest Decorative Masks.

The Frosted Forest Bundle is part of the Online Exclusives and wont be found in the Catalogue.

Have you ever read the information that comes with the masks…I hadn’t until today. It has all these different ideas on how you could colour your Masks..

  • Spritz using ink, chalk or glimmer sprays
  • Sponge using ink or paint – Trace using markers
  • Emboss with VersaMark ink and embossing powders
  • Add Texture using embossing paste

Anyway that got me thinking…How about we create a card using one of these methods. So with a ‘Spritzer tool’ I decided to create this fun card.

Measurements Used…

 ColourImperial/LetterMetric/A4
Card BaseBasic White4 ¼ x 11”, score @ 5 ½”10.5 x 29.9cm, score @ 14.9cm

I used Stampin’ Write Markers with my Spritzer Tool, this gave it a lovely speckled effect, just like leaves.

  • Tree Trunk Mask 1 – Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso
  • Leaves Mask 2 – Lemon Lime Twist & Granny Apple Green
  • Leaves Mask 3 – Garden Green

Enduring Beauty – Ghost Colouring

The card I created last night on my live uses the Stampin’ Up! ® Enduring Beauty Stamps, Enduring Beauty Dies and Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks.

I’m calling this technique ‘Ghost Colouring’ as the White Craft Ink on a dark cardstock has a ghost look or a sheerness effect when applied with a Blending Brush onto a dark surface such as the Basic Black. This would also look great on Night Of Navy and Blackberry Bliss.

You can add colour on top of the White Craft Ink but it will change the shade of your colour a lot (as shown in Video, linked below)

Layers of Beauty Cards and Gift Box

Here I have created Cards & Gift Box/Filo using the Stampin’ Up!® Layers of Beauty Bundle over 2 videos, I hope you enjoy!

Layers of Beauty bundle by Stampin’ Up!® is at the moment my all time favorite product.

Why?

It’s a traditional floral image, easy to colour with the use of the masks that come with the bundle and can also be die cut with the coordinating dies. You can change up the look to be either modern, shabby chic or just traditional or old world. It’s all up to you and how you use colour.

Layers of Beauty Cards Part 1

I created these cards the same as you might do a ‘One Page Wonder’- where you create your own Designer Series Paper and cut it up to create card fronts.

Starting with a sheet of Basic Beige A4 cardstock I ruled in faint lines through the center of both the length and width of the cardstock. This was to give an idea of where I needed to stamp the images, so that I would be left with part images either side. I didn’t stamp exactly the same both sides as I wanted some of my cards to have a different look or orientation.

The YouTube video is below showing how I created the cards.

Cutting Measurements per card (except for Card Front use full sheet of card stock)

Layers of Beauty Gift Box/Filo Part 2

The design for this Box/ Filo was cased from Mikeala Titheridge Varied Vases Note Card Holder. I have changed the measurements to suite the size of A6 & C6 Cards & Envelopes.

YouTube video below shows how I completed my cards and created the box.

Working out the Box/Filo Measurements

To create your box you need some basic measurements to create your formula. I am using metric measurements for Australian C6 envelopes. Your measurements may differ depending on how many cards you want in your box and the envelope size.

Because of the size I needed to created the box I have used 12 x12″ scrapbook Cardstock

  • Finished Box Size – Worked on Envelope C6 (11.3 x 16cm) plus extra for width and length = 12 x 17cm
  • SpineDepth of Cards and envelopes =2cm
    • Unlike a box with a lid this is more of a Filo with a side opening. The right side has a full spin with between front and back. The left side has 2 spines attached to either side of opening at half width of full spine.
  • Flap Depth inside box = 6cm

Formula

  • Width= front width + Spine + Back Width (12 + 2 +12 = 26cm)
  • Length= length + half spine + Flap (17 +1+6 = 24cm)
  • Side Tabs (cut x2) or left Spines
    • tab width + half spine + tab width (1 +1+1= 3cm)
    • length Flap depth (6cm)
Cutting Measurements

Box BaseNight of Navy, 12 x 12″ Cardstock 26 x 24cm
Side TabsNight of Navy 3 x 6cm (cut 2)
FrontBasic Beige 10.5 x 14.9cm

Pocket Thoughts

Wow!…Love it!

Stampin’ Up! ® have created a stamp/die bundle with pockets dies, Pocket Thoughts Bundle is a Bundle with images & pocket dies that could be used on cards or scrapbook pages.

Pocket Thoughts images could be used on cards where you might want to celebrate Birthdays, Engagement/weddings or Graduations. The dies that come in this bundle are for three size pockets that can be used for gift cards, notes or jounrnaling pockets on scrapbook layouts.

This card was created for my sons partner and I had fun playing with my two favorite colours in the 2024-26 In Colours Designer Series Paper – Petunia Pop and Summer Splash

Measurements Used…

 ColourImperial/LetterMetric/A4
Card BasePetunia Pop4 ¼ x 11”, score @ 5 ½”10.5 x 29.9cm, score @ 14.9cm
Card MatSummer Splash4 x 5¼”10 x 14.4cm

Card Insert MatSummer Splash4 x 5 ¼”10 x 14.4cm
Card InsertBasic White3⅞ x 4⅞”9.7 x 13.4cm

Tips

  • Pocket Thoughts Die – middle size
  • The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped once in full strength ink and then stamped of in second Generation stamping.
  • The stamps in the set are two step stamps – one stamp, stamps the image and the 2nd stamp colours the image. Here the icing on the cup cake stamp was stamped off to get a lighter shade or 2nd Generation stamping.
  • The cup cake base I coloured using Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends – Light and dark.
  • I used a 10-12cm (4-4 1/2″) length of ribbon in Petunia Pop and Summer Splash. Gently unravel the ribbon so your left with the weft threads. Place the two colours together and tie together. Trim the ends to neaten off.
  • I doubled the Dimensionals for height behind the cup cake to cover the knot of the ribbon.
  • The photo’s below i have added an extra Gold Foil leaf. The die leaf is from the Thoughtful Wishes Dies.

Friends for Life

Full of Life Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! ®….This is such a beautiful collection full of life and fun….The colours are bright and playful.

These cards I have kept very basic with just a card base, mat and card front, letting the Full Of Life Designer Series Paper be the hero.

There is a lot happening on each sheet of DSP with all that colour, so you can keep your card design simple. In my live I made 3 cards all using the same elements and measurements, just changing the focal point colour. To add some extra interest you can always add an embossing folder as i did in one of my cards.

Tune In

Our theme this month for the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop is a ‘Theme – Card or Scrapbook page for the Men’, and for this challenge I am using the Tune In Bundle by Stampin’ Up!®.

I have tried to give this card a ‘Retro Feel’, using the Tune In Bundle, which is all about the Retro Television.

I created a fun background for my card with the Nest Essential Dies, change the colours used and it could be for anyone. Rectangles were cut from Basic Gray cardstock and adhered in a stacked pattern to a Basic Black Base.

Smaller Basic White frames overlapping create that retro look. These were made by using 2 smaller rectangles nested one inside the other and run through the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine.

The Glossy Television reminds me of the small white shinny TV my parents had back in the 60’s. To created this effect I filled in the outer section of the stamped image with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Let it dry for an hour or two before die cutting it out.

The television antenna was die cut from Silver Foil, which I had adhered Adhesive Sheet to the back before cutting.

The card insert I used off cuts from the Basic Gray rectangles and adhered onto a Real Red strip.

I just love all the ‘POPS’ of red!
