Welcome to Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop. We are a group of Australian Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own. Each month we will be showing different ideas based around products, themes and challenges.
It was my turn to choose the challenge……Black and White – this is hard one, they are such a contrast…total opposites. Because being complete opposites you can get a very hard looking card and you need to have some softness and texture…I hope I have done this with my card.
And every time I think of the sentiment I used – ‘Thank you for being my Friend’…I start singing…, Who else loved the Golden Girls…LOL!
The card layers are very simple, there are just 3 – Card Base- Basic Black, Card Front- Basic White and Card Insert – Basic White.
This card was a case of playing….with scraps of Basic White, Basic Black and White Vellum…I stamped the all the images in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White (3-4 in each) and die cut. Using vellum, I die cut 3-4 each of the stand alone dies. I also cut one of the large dies( with the bar at the base) x 3 in Basic Black. Not all this was used but it gave me plenty to play with.
How to make this card…
I embossed the card front with one of the embossing folders from the Basics Embossing Folders found in the Online Exclusives on my Online Store.
Using the Basic Black Marker splattered some ink across the card Front by flicking the brush nib from the marker lid
Black Bakers Twine – separate the twisted twine. place a small amount of Seal onto card front and layer one strand of the twine in large loops onto the seal
Adhering the the 2 black die cuts to the back of the sentiment, one at the top and the other at the bottom. The sentiment is then attached to the front of the card front with dimensionals.
This forms a base. I then attached the stamped flowers and leaves and vellum pieces coming from under the sentiment.
To finish the card front I added some splatters of Wink of Stella.
The card front then was adhered to the card base.

Why….did I join!
Being creative is my way to relax, to chill. How do you chill out?
Having time to do something you love is the best way to de-stress, to find releif from everyday happenings.
I love to create…It can be embroidery, quilting, scrapbooking or making a card. It’s a time where for that moment I can breath and be me. Do you have a special hobby that you do to just be in a space that feels good and relaxing?
I run a small clothing alterations business and every week I can have up to 10 people coming into my home, into my space. I am a social person and love meeting new people and I’m always ready for a chat. But ….yes there is a but, having people every day coming in to my space can get a bit wearing, because they want something done and by a certain time and in a certain way.
I set aside Fridays every week to create a card and then share it with you through my ‘Lives’. I have such busy weeks and sometimes by the end of it I’m really stressed out.
So being able to create at the end of the week is my down time.
I love to create and share with my friends, through classes or just getting together with friends on line or in person to create. Yes those that come to my home for classes start off as strangers but very quickly become friends and family, because we all have something in common….the LOVE of Crafting.
I’d love you to join me and my friends…or I should say family, as the friends I have made through Stampin’ Up! are more like family.
So if you are interested in joining me and ‘Live in Australia’….
Or give me a call on 0408868771, always happy to chat….LOL! Just remember if I don’t answer I maybe with a customer, leave a message and i will get back to you
Thank you for stopping by and reading my Blog. I hope you have enjoyed my projects & that you’re inspired to get crafty!

Our Theme this month is In-Colors 2023-25
Stampin’ Up!® have given us 5 NEW In- Colors to use over the next 2 years. These colours – Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, Pebble Path and Cooper Clay. These 5 colours have great earthy tones they work well together and with other colours.
My take on these colours are….
Boho Blue – I love Blues
Wild Wheat – a great colour to use if you want Gold accents with out the shinny metallic gold. Wild Wheat also has green under tones which works well for leaves with Autumn tones.
Moody Mauve – This reminds me of Old Rose colours.
Pebble Path – This colour to me has a warm gray tones, a nice blend between browns and greys.
Cooper Clay – Cooper Clay is like the Wild Wheat , could be a replacement for metallic Cooper and again has autumn tones.
Dainty Delight
For my card I decided to use Boho Blue as my card base and back drop for the floral arrangement. With the Moody Mauve and the Boho Blue the Wild Wheat has a green tone.
The flowers I coloured with Moody Mauve Blends, Wild Wheat for the flower centers. The leaves I use Soft Sea Foam just to give a hint of a different green and not wanting to go too bright.
The ribbon, I unraveled approx 8cm and tied it into a note, rather than a bow. A bow in the coordinating ribbon – Boho Blue Textured Ribbon would have been a little too heavy against the lightness of the stems and floral image.
The sentiment I stamped using the Pebble Path ink, not as dark as the basic black
How to make this card…
Please note that the conversion from Metric/A4 to Imperial/Letter will change the look of the card slightly. There is a difference of roughly 1cm/ ⅜”. This all makes a difference to the layers in the length of the card. You could make the lengths of the DSP shorter but then in doing that the Die Cut stems would be longer than the DSP. So I will leave that to you to decide what you want to do.

Thank you Kylie for this fun challenge, Double Z-Fold cards are a easy & fun. There are so many great variations to the Z- Fold Card…check out this Pinterest page on Z-Fold Cards using Stampin’ Up! Products.
Bright & Beautiful Double Z- Fold Card
I created my card using the Bright & Beautiful Suite from the NEW Annual 2023-24 Stampin’ Up!® Catalogue. If you love Birthdays, Balloons and stars this is a fun suite. Great for birthday cards, general celebrations or any special moments. The dies cut balloons, stars, tags and work well for shaker cards. The Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) is 6 x 6″, one side of the DSP has fun type images of stars, strips, waves, strips and confetti. The reverse side has ombre effects, variegate or shabby (as per my card), giving great texture effects for your cards.
The DSP coordinates with Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lime Twist, Pretty Peacock, Azure Afternoon and Blueberry Bushel. For my card I used the Azure Afternoon DSP and die cut stars in Berry Burst, Basic White, Azure Afternoon and Parakeet Party.
To add some extra texture to the stars I embossed them using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folder found on the Online Exclusives in my Online Store.
The Bright & Beautiful Suite also includes Gold celebration Specialty Designer Series Paper – window sheets in 3 designs – spots, stars and confetti, streamer twirls. One side of the sheets are gold and the other side is in silver. I used the gold spots for the 2nd part of the Double Z-Fold, to create a see through element to my card. I was then able to attach the stars and tag to the window sheet so the stars and tag look like they are floating.
NB: make sure you use your bone folder to crease in the folds and to adhere to the card base I used lots of glue dots that hind nicely behind the dots.
On the back of the card I have added a panel to write your Birthday Greetings on.

If you have been sitting on the fence not sure if you should JOIN the Stampin’ Up! Family or not….well now is the time to jump down and JOIN.
Today on my ‘Live’ I have decided to make a photo album, from scratch. This will be a 3 part video which I will make over 3 weekly ‘Lives’.
Let’s get started…
There are a a few things to consider when designing and making an album from scratch.
What purpose is the album for…
are you creating for yourself or as a gift
Do you want it to have a theme
What size?
You can work this out by photo size (make sure you include Matting you may use with the photo)
Remember you can trim your photo’s down and use smaller printed photo’s.
Will it be a landscape, portrait or Square?
No of pages
What do we need to get started…
Chipboard- 2-3 mil thick, you don’t want to make it to thick because you need to cut it. But if it’s too thin then it wont stability.
Cardstock –
You will need at least half to a full pack of cardstock
You want to use cardstock that coordinates with the Designer Series Paper you are thinking of using. I like Basic Black or Night of Navy, because anything will go with it and I can change my mind if need be.
A4 or 12 x 12″ – This can depend on size of album cover and Page sizes
Adhesives
Tear’n’tape- I like Stampin’ Up! Tear’n’tape as it easy to use just make sure its a good quality (needs to have good adhesion)
Multi Purpose Glue
Paper Trimmer
Designer Series Paper, and coordinating products – stamps, dies, and embellishments – we will go more into this later.
Size and Measurements (I’m using for my Album)
These measurements maybe slightly different from video
Photo size = 4 x 6″ (10 x 15cm)
Mat size = 4¼ x 6¼” (10.5 x 15.5cm)
Page Size = 4½ x 6½” – Have decided to change with to 6½” to allow tabs on the tags in the page pocket to come past the page.
Finished Album Size = 5 x 7″
No Pages = 5
Cutting Measurements
Chipboard
Cover Front & Back – 5 x 7″ x 2
Spine – 3 x5″ – Spine width = ½” between each page hinge plus extra ½”=3″
Cardstock- Basic Black
I like to have 1″ turnings around sides, you need to have good turnings to get a nice finish. As the Album Cover complete is too long for the cardstock I needed to work out where the join are going to go. The join could go down the center of the spin or either side of the spine on the cover. I decided to have 2 joins either side of the spine, this will get covered by Designer Series Paper when I decorate.
Length of the cover is 17″ x 5″ wide.
Cover Front & Back – 7 x 7″
Spine 6 x 7″ – more than with required for the join coverage re: video
The hinges for the pages are ½” deep and ½” apart…see the video for how this is created.
Please Note – I spaced the cover and spine the width of 2 pieces of chipboard, after looking closely at the bends the cardstock had cracked a little. If doing again I would space them a little more, just so you can get a better fold. I have added a very very small amount of glue with a toothpick. I hope by the time I decorate I can cover this up or so it’s less noticeable.

I had so much fun on my ‘Live’ this week. This card was created with Stampin’ Up! products coming and going, also die cuts left over from other projects – Vellum Leaves, Flowers and leaves cut from Designer Series Paper.
Shimmery White Cardstock and Butterfly Brilliance Bundle will soon be leaving us. I am going to miss them, but I am also looking forward to all the new products coming. I am really enjoying the Wild Wheat Cardstock and Ink from the New 2023-25 In-Colours, it has a lovely Green/gold tone which for me is a great substitute for Gold Foil.
I also used one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders, this was the first I time I have used this folder and looks great with the other elements – floral dies and leaves.
Below is a video showing how the card was made.

Pear Pizzazz (I will be sad to see this go – but I can’t wait to play with all those new colours)
I created a textured back ground with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders and added a die cut over the top.
I added a circle of vellum and placed it under the large flower to separate it from the other flowers.
The inside of the card I added a strip of embossed cardstock across the bottom of the card with a trim of Highland Heather cardstock and an watercolour leaf.

For More Inspiration we have our new Tutorial Bundle
This month in my March In-home class we created cards using products from the Stampin’ Up!® Regency Park Suite Collection from the 2023 Mini Catalogue. There is so much in this suite….there is 2 bundles, Textured Shimmer paper, Cane Weave Embossing Folder, Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Milky Dots and 6 x 6″ Regency Park Designer Series Paper.
The good thing is some of these products will be staying in the new Stampin’ Up!® 2023-24 Catalogue but the sad thing is the bundles will be gone and the Regency Park Designer Series Paper will also be gone.
My advise….order them now if you want them or the 10% with the Bundles (at time of posting the availability of Suite or DSP unknown)
In my search for ideas I came across a YouTube Channel called Call Me (Crafty) Al. Both the card above and below came from her channel. She has a series called Sheet Load of Cards and these are where she shows and has a Printable PDF of card ideas where you want to make more than one of the same card…great for multiple cards and classes. You would just need to adjust some of the measurements for the Australian A4 Cardstock and our different card size.
Both of these cards really didn’t need much tweaking at all.
The other thing I would say is that if your looking for the link to her PDF’s, you do need to search the page. They were about half way down the Links or at the end.
Now, I did change this one a bit to suite the stamps.
Al has lots of great ideas and when the crafting juices are not flowing, it’s good to see what others are creating. Just always give credit to those you have CASE’d and their ideas, and play with them to make them your own.
CASE stands for “Copy and Share Everything” OR “Copy and Selectively Edit” (meaning putting your own spin on another’s design or idea)
The card below is mine, I could CASE everything, could I!
With this card I also added the stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes and the Bough Punch. The sentiment came from the Go to Greetings Stamp set
